The best news is that our RPI is still a respectable #11......as long as we start start winning consistently again, we could easily move up into the top 8 by the end of the season.

Agreed - Too much emphasis on this last weekend...

Got to love the Coaches Poll. Arkansas loses a weekend series and doesn't drop at all. Florida, the team that beat them this weekend, drops a spot.

Collegiate is still a good poll (although I'm having a little trouble with UConn!). It is what it is. We have a few decent wins (series over Arkansas) and some ugly losses (UGA, series to KU) but it's not like we're dominating or getting dominated. I think the current ranking is more a reflection of the pollster's lack of confidence in our starting pitching and ability to get production out of the bottom of the order. Get everyone completely healthy (AR, Trey), win a series at Florida and we're back in the Top 10.

15?!? Da frick???
Lost 3 games this weekend. Pitching didn't look all that great. Didn't play like a top 10 team, what's the problem?

Holy shite. thankfully none for this counts for another month or so.

There's still another month of baseball to be played. I wouldn't be shocked to see us back in the top 5 when it's all said and done.

Fail.
We took 2/3 from UGA.

pgunktiger, I live in Austin and am a die hard Texas fan and I hope we don't get LSU in a Regional. I think LSU is going to get hot at just the right time and they are scary.

Some of these polls are a joke...#15, #17?
Who in their right mind thinks there are 15-16 teams better than LSU?
Ridiculous!
Coaches poll at #9 is more realistic at this point.

All polls are in. I will post the composite upon calculation

Perhaps we ought to also include the Choker's Poll, consisting of all those who were doing great but failed to make to or through Omaha. I just hope LSU isn't among those this year.

Ole Miss, Clemson, and Texas A&M would be the powerhouse programs in the Choker's Poll for all around sports programs.
They never fail to disappoint.

All the polls are for is Stats mongors, only matters what you do in June at the Reg. and CWS.... Lets see how many show up then.....

Yeah, as a Texas fan I'd rather not play LSU in a super. My outsider's hunch is the team is sleep-walking a bit.
I have a feeling the committee will also want to avoid that.. since they want both in Omaha. /conspiracy theorist in me

Texas, LSU, and Arkansas are in the top 10 in attendance and top 16 RPI. Something tells me the committee won't put them against each other in a Super Regional. Same for FSU and Clemson.

Dropping like a heavy rock in water.
Tournament play is what counts. Just need a high seed
