I’d comfortably rate him at 55-60 for speed among college catchers.
I almost had him as a 50 but again it’s subjective. I welcome people disagreeing or adding value to this thread. I never act like my ratings are end all answers here.

Adam has never seen him run.
This is also true.
I thought we were ranking McHorribles team this morning.

I did get to see Arrambide and Serna at 1B this fall. Arrambide held his own, Serna needs more reps there. Serna appears to have a good eye when hitting but does have a long swing. I'm concerned SEC pitchers will exploit that. He's built so incredibly strong looking, I can't wait to see him when he reaches his full potential.
Will Serna catch when Cade rests? I haven’t kept up with fall ball and I seer Serna has been playing 1b. Again, I haven’t seen Serna with my own eyes this fall but I’ll take your word he may struggle against good SEC pitching.
I got to see Serna several times last spring and summer. He’s one of the best natural hitters I have ever seen. Of course that changes when the competition is better. I was just incredibly impressed with him.

I honestly don’t know what he’s going to end up doing with the backup. Yamins a more polished defender and Serna gives them more pop to fill in for Arrambide.

Thanks Adam. You think Serna sticks at 1b or DH? Just asking what you think. His stick will be needed

Quicker route to playing time will be DH

Great scouting report, man I loved the thoroughness. New to TD, loved this so much!

Since I live out of state, what is the understanding of our baseball team this year. Do we have it this year? Appreciate comment.
Evans should be good for Friday. We have a ton of pieces that can make the bullpen go.
If we can get reliable starting performances from (2 of) Williams/Schmidt/Moore/Cowan/Noot every weekend, I think we should be the favorite.

The MLB uses a 20-80 grading scale to evaluate each draft eligible player based on their skillset

To give viewers a better representation of how they stack up on the collegiate level what I’ve done the past few years is grade each player based on their current tools as they compare to other players at the collegiate level.
quote:I agree with this assessment. Disregarding Serna's upside, I do believe that Eddie has outplayed him at the position so far from what I have seen in fall and so far this spring. He has worked hard and receives well, uses his length and size well and outhustles his competition. Looking forward to seeing him get some reps and hoping that his offensive game continues to improve with the additional opportunities.
To be candid I had marked Eddie Yamin as a transfer out player during the middle of last year but he’s stuck around and has really found another gear…to the point I think he’s moved his way up in the depth chart, I don’t know if Yamin has officially slid into the backup role but he and Serna are almost interchangeable right now.
Thanks for doing this Adam!

As long as Jay Johnson is the head coach, there is a chance every year.
And also if the pitching is good as advertised then we have a chance. It wasn't as a good as advertised as last year. I mean you did you say that remember?

20% of this board wanted Eyanson benched the first month/2 months into the season last year.
