Wrong, $300 gets you in every game IF there is availability. You basically get a decent seat to non conference games, and SRO to conference games. Sometimes nothing but that’s rare.
To clarify for some who commented on this post. I did the $300 last year. Got actual seats to 80% of games. Got SRO to most SEC games. A handful of games I never got the text. Yes, they are supposed to text, but coincidentally the games in which I got no text were near-record crowds. So call me wrong if you want to, but that was my experience. FYI at the crowded games, SRO is hardly worth it, people are standing five deep.
I think it was a worthwhile investment if you can make 15-20 games.

mobile pass says guaranteed, but I don't know anyone who has ever bought the mobile pass

It sounds like you are wrong based on the email. It says you are guaranteed a ticket to EVERY game. There is no reference to availability.

Does this include regional and super regional games if we host?

I just looked and it said access to all 37 home games. It doesn't mention post season. So I would say no post season ticket.

Season tickets for LSU baseball are THE GREATEST bargain in college sports!

Thank you! Would make the deal even sweeter if it did include post season

253.45 philanthropic priority points
I had this conversation today and couldn't come up with a number. If I have 0 points today, what amount of cash gets me 253.45 points? Is that $253.45K or are there bonuses?

So a one time gift of $51K to the oaks gets 255 points? That seems really low to be top 1000.

I believe the oaks is a pledge of $50,000 to get 5pts. Never checked into it but I think it is a pledge of 50k per year for 5 years.

No doubt dbl that price and cut the huge losses.
So, here's the deal. Blanding is mostly right about all the other sports besides FB and MBB. However, he's not correct about baseball. Most seasons, Baseball breaks even or comes close enough. However, if they make it to Omaha OR have to travel for Regional/Super Regional, then it comes in at a loss.
I recently had lunch with the President of the TAF and one of the top fund raisers. The following is the bottom line:
1. Baseball season ticket renewal every year stands at 99+%
2. Tickets are cheap.
3. The TAF contribution is where the number climbs when talking about Grandstand tickets or Champions Club tix.
4. LSU will NOT consider raising the ticket prices (more than double has been recommended) as they do not want to risk losing the renewal rate of 99+%. Remember, the sport breaks even unless it's an Omaha year or a year good enough to go to an away Regional/Super Regional. The school is ok with that.
5. My biggest pet peeve, and the one I'll likely get downvoted the most for, LSU, every year, sells season tix for baseball via renewal in the name of a person who has been in the grave for over a decade. In some instances, the tickets have changed hands 3 to 4 times from the original owner. Those who remember the Saban years, remember FB tix used to be this way. As a NC was at hand, the school basically took all those tix (some were offered a 1 time amnesty, but not all) and resold them to people willing to pay more. For those who downvote this, tell me this, how fair is it to the above posters (and me) who have been on the waiting list for years to be constantly told NO so someone who never had to wait in line could just renew every year because they got lucky?
The size check I was willing to tender for season tix (just 2) in the Grandstand was substantial. I was told to keep my money and consider putting it into The Oaks for a better chance later down the line.....maybe. I have met many who are in the same boat. The school and the TAF would gain a lot of money if they were willing to re-shuffle the way football did years ago. I was told they know it but don't care. To be fair, that was during the Scott W time, so there might be a re-think in the near future but I'm not holding my breath.
