miles just royally fricked up with his DC decision in the off season .. anyone who doesn't think that is now obvious is a moron ... both mallory and peveto's positions have sucked royal arse too ..

Totally agree, why keep the 2 on staff when the positions they coached the last two years have woefully underperformed. I am beginning to think the WR coach is stinky, too.

For those that continue the "Woe is LSU due to the loss of RP" that is tired and contrived. RP would likely have gotten hurt and missed a major part of the season and the team would have been in the position they find themselves now, ie no backup that can get it done. Look at how many QB injuries LSU has had the last 5-6 seasons. RP, if he had run on a significant number of plays, would have gotten beaten up. The bigger thing is that there are zero QB's experienced enough to help LSU win this year and that is on the coaches. Can Crowton coach QB's? I am beginning to doubt this given the lack of progress by Lee.

Ole Miss has a stout D line that played well, I can't say the outcome of the game shocked me, but LSU's pitiful effort on the offensive line did. Then again, when the opponent knows you can't pass they will drill you upfront.

Good post...the O-line was a major disappointment last night.

is it more likely that Miles really was winning with Saban's players, or that this is just a rebuilding year?

I'm going with the first one.

Can't tell based upon one season following an NC.

There's no such thing as a re-building year when you've won 2 MNCs in the previous 5 seasons and you 've had top 10 recruiting classes every year. The problem is the two headed DC.

Again, you can't dispute that Miles was winning with Saban's players, but his own made a few plays as well. If Chad Jones doesn't sack JPW, we may not win that game.

There is just too much parity in the SEC for ANY team to dominate year-in year-out. There are some legit reasons that you guys are having a bit of a down yr this yr. Accept it, look forward to next season.

Miles should have earned your respect thus far.
