I'd have to admit, I'm starting to get worried. AU and MSU weren't exactly the top of the SEC. We have much harder series down the road. We needed a sweep at MSU. Nice that we picked up a W today and did get hosed Friday by umps.

We are 4-2 and sitting pretty if the umps don't screw us friday

We are probably 5-1 if we bunt on Saturday. 2 consecutive innings with a man on 3rd and only 1 out and we hit into double plays. Just terrible...

Fields' run would have tied the game not won it.

And the incorrectly called out on the "double play" in the 2nd? inning would have given us that extra run

Jones being a competent base runner would have given us the win Friday

The game would've been tied if the ump wouldn't have blown the call. I'm sure we would've found another way to lose it. This team is just not that good. We'll be lucky to make the post season. It's time to get rid of Javi AND Mainieri.

was it ross? you may be right. it was disgusting either way. our baserunning has been atrocious since Mainieri has been here and it cost us big friday. Saturday was just a complete abortion and Mainieri's idiotic move today almost cost us... Sorry for going off but it was a horrible weekend for the man

Baserunning has been bad, but not usually in that kind of way, usually its overrunning bases or getting picked off or caught stealing.....not something like that, they've usually been pretty good at avoiding the fielder in that situation

You may be quite right but we have to let the season play out. Things can turnaround.

Our pitching should give us chances in almost every game/series.

At present, we have top-5 starting pitching, top-20 releif, and middle-of-the-road juco hitting.

Not saying you are right are wrong because I do not know the right answer, but it isn't happening this year. We would have to fall completely apart.

updated OP to show slugging %

Jones has been a real key to the offense through these first 2 series. If Sciambra misses an extended amount of time, it hurts offensively and defensively as he has shown to have a great glove in CF.

He has 2 sac flies and only 1 walk, so it's thrown off a bit. I was disappointed to see that he has 9 strikeouts and 0 walks in the 6 league games though

He's due to go on another tear like he did at the beginning of the month
