Blame the college presidents and AD's for this ridiculous mess....
All they had to say was "You must be a conference champion to play in the BCS Championship."
Now what we're likely to get is the absolutely ABSURD situation where unbeaten LSU, despite having beaten Alabama, will have to play an additional game to qualify while Alabama does not. Atrocious situation that really didn't require a lot of smarts to avoid.

Shouldn't Oregon be ahead of Oklahoma? Oregon lost to #1 LSU and a good USC team while Oklahoma got beat at home by a 5-win Texas Tech Team and a barely ranked Baylor team.

Could LSU just forfeit the SEC champ game if they wanted to and lobby that "if your going to put AL in against us, will just sit this one out and wait". I know there is no way in hell but it's bullshite.
Also, if we beat Ark and Georgia, then LSU were to lose a close one to AL like 10-7 or somehting, is the nation really going to crown them Natl Champs without some headscratching?
