All they had to say was "You must be a conference champion to play in the BCS Championship."
This would be the worst rule ever. Let's say LSU wins next week, then loses to UGA in Atlanta. Then you'd have a BCSNCG that didn't include LSU, Bama, or Arkansas. It could end up being something like Virginia Tech vs Oklahoma or Oregon vs Oklahoma St. Yea, that'd be awesome and would solve everything.

shite if we win this out including the National Championship. We'll be regarded as the greatest team in college football history
I seriously doubt that, especially considering it's a down year in college football in general. Nebraska's 95 team was the best ever, IMO. Beat 5 top 20 teams by an average of 37 points, including 38-point win over Florida in the NC.

23 Georgia Tech 8-3
24 Auburn 7-4
25 Texas 6-4
we could potentially beat all these teams

I don't understand why LSU fans are so scared to play Bama again. You already beat them on their home turf, and this time it'll be in your own backyard, the Superdome.

Is there any way to go undefeated and lose the bcs title game and stay #1 in the bcs?
Posted on 11/20/11 at 7:53 pm to revell
Im not scared of playing Bama again. I just think its wrong for a team that we beat at their stadium that did not win its division that we are in or its conference should be rewarded like that over a conference champion.

#2 Alabama .9491
#4 Oklahoma State .8408
Way too large a margin. Especially not playing this weekend and Alabama playing a ranked opponent.

The coaches are obligated to vote the winner of the BCS title game #1, so I doubt it.

There is no BCS ranking after the bowls, and the winner of the title game gets the Crystal Football.

In two weeks, when Alabama is sitting at home and Oklahoma State is possibly beating Oklahoma, the voters will look hard at switching Alabama & Oklahoma State at #2 and #3 just like when we jumped Georgia in 2007.

That could be possible. Especially if Bama struggles with Auburn IMO.

This...plus Oklahoma is ranked way higher than Auburn.

Nobody is scared. The BCS claims to exist to make the regular season the playoff. We beat bama on the road and while we are playing in the sec cg, they will be sitting on their arse not winning their own division. Ftr, I think we win by 10 in the dome. They don't deserve another shot if there is another 1 loss conf champ. Period.

LOL at Brad Edwards...."If LSU loses, there is a chance that they stay at #2."
Well, yeah Brad....Not only is there a chance, it is HIGHLY LIKELY that LSU stays at #2 or higher. There's no chance 100% of voters put LSU at #3.
Anyone with a brain and even a basic set of math skills can see that LSU likely isn't falling below 2 with a loss to Arkansas.

He's not.
Oklahoma St is #6 in both polls and would move up to at least #5 next week and potentially #3 by the end of conference championship game weekend.
OSU with a .950 computer score would only need to steal 32 votes in both the Harris and the Coaches polls to pass Alabama to #2 in the final BCS.

Look, I think OSU loses to OU but, if not, they can make up this ground. The margin is because they are 6 in the Harris (.7885) and USA Today polls (.7837). Even now, they have a higher score than Bama in the computers. If they beat OU, they will likely have be ranked #2 in all of the computers to Bama's #3.
They could make up the ground in the polls by Arkansas losing (to us), Va Tech losing (to Virginia or Clemson), and Stanford losing support due to their schedule. If OSU is the consensus 3rd place team, they would need a percentage of people to rank them over Bama (I dont even think it would have to be a high percentage). I think if OSU wins out, they will be in the BCS game.
