True, but I want to be able to get in my car and drive home (sit in traffic) immediately after the game.

There are definitive studies that beer sales in stadiums actually curtail binge drinking
While I have no doubt that it does help this for some, I'm typically not pounding drinks trying to get loaded up before a game. I just drink all day and end up with a strong enough buzz before the game.

earn massive revenue.
Which is a great reason for the stadium to have alcohol sales.

Article by CBS on College Football stadiums now allowing beer sales. I'm super surprised Mr. Money- Alleva hasn't allowed this yet ?
Not Alleva's decision. This has been discussed in numerous forums the last several years. The SEC has a joint agreement that none of the SEC schools will sell alcohol in the stadiums until all of them are in agreement. So, LSU cannot go on its own and start doing it.
Contrary to popular belief, The NCAA has no prohibition on alcohol sales at CFB games

You might have been boondoggled on light rail but you're absolutely correct here.

Actually their are 6 SEC teams that sell beer to premium seat areas in their stadiums. Florida gators is the latest. THe SEC does not allow beer sales to general seating. A bit discriminating and probably open for a legal challenge !

It really is a no brainer.

Isn't it an SEC rule not allowing it?

I rather not see this. Enough drunken idiots as it stands now.
There wouldn't be more drunken idiots. People that want to drink are bringing booze in now. I do every single game. If they sold beer, I'd buy beer. But until they do, me and thousands of others will bring in our own.

Did you know that the no alcohol sales is an SEC rule and that Alleva has been trying to get it rescinded?

If they ever start selling beer they had better address those shitty restrooms at least in the south endzone or people will be pissing in same beer cups in the stands. Hell those restrooms can't handle the people that are just drinking water or cold drinks.

If it's every decided on to sell beer in TS , those seats in the North Endzone would probably be affected because of the student seat location.Several stadiums have family zone locations in there stadium, that could happen to part of the NEZ. The 216, 215 , 214 237, 238 , 239.??just wondering how they would handle the situation??...

Instead of a mass exodus, the stands will consistently be half empty because you frickers are obsessed with how much beer you can drink.

How about a compromise? Only sell beer at games that start before 7:00.
