I know there's people in this thread not scared, I mean it as a generic question to the site.
Of course they are good-they're Bama. But we played better Bama teams close with inferior talent. We will actually have tight ends as a threat in the quick and over the middle passing game this year. This will keep the linebackers from playing aggressively vs the run.
I guess I have faith in DE making quick reads. He has the ability to quickly get rid of the ball, often to the right read. Now that we can get the ball quickly to 7, 5, 81, 89 in the passing game it can neutralize the d line.
The fact we never spent adequate time in the film room ALWAYS hurt us in this game.
For the first time in a VERY, VERY long time Bama will actually have to make defensive adjustments and defend the entire field.
I am most worried about two things:
Hurts extending drives w scrambled
Bama getting short fields off turnovers.
Aranda will frustrate them.

Past history is not an indicator of future results.
In almost every context and situation yes it is. How has natural selection not taken you already?

many dont know what they're talking about. their dline is NOT better then last year...neither are their running backs, oline and qb. their linebackers might be his best...and their dbs are as good as advertised but their best is done for the year. bama lives off intimidation and hard hits and sound tackling. we need to strap up and punch them in the frickikng mouth. we'll see what the neighborhood bully does then
This guy right here sees what I see. Bama waits for a couple plays, or calls to go their way and the moment the other team shows any doubts they pounce hard.
They live on intimidation. We can stand toe to toe. Our QB is plenty good enough.

You are a moron. I likely know more about natural selection, evolution, physiology, and any other scientific field than you do.
In what context where every interaction (game) is composed of a multitude of variables (players, setting, coaches, variables from within the game itself such as injuries) from the previous interaction, none of which can be accurately predicted with certainty, can you say that the past is an absolute predictor of the future outcome of an event?

Based on a weak secondary that just got weaker, and an unproven freshman qb. Please go ahead and pick bama.

Aranda will frustrate them.
Bottom line - discipline to avoid stupid penalties, and each man doing his job, and the Tigers will be fine.
It's gonna get nasty.

A few get it but the loss of Jackson in their secondary is huge! He was their play maker and even bigger their play caller not to even mention their best return man on special teams.
This team is really good! Their best yet, nope! I agree with what a lot of you have said. We have to have the want to dominate more than them. Sometimes you just have to take that swing at the school yard bully because you might just land the hit and knock him out or if anything let him know you are here to stay and not going anywhere.

I honestly have a difficult time comprehending how this false narrative continues to propagate.
Bro.....they've won 20 straight and annihilate everyone. That's why.
The media should suck them off. They deserve it.
That said....we can and will smack that bitch arse and shut them up

We must absolutely pass the ball effectively, or....there will be problems...

Our 1994 team could have beaten our 1984 team, and today's team could probably beat the great team of 2003.
The evolution of size, strength and talent among college football players have shown nearly linear progressions over the last 40-50 years.

What are you, 14 yrs old? Grow up child.

Yeah the 58 team would have been what, in their 60's?

How is that possible? It isn't. This Bama team isn't nearly as good as their 2011 or 2012 teams. Their defense is also nowhere near what their D was last year. I honestly have a difficult time comprehending how this false narrative continues to propagate.
Agreed.
Bama has given up 119 points in 8 games. They gave up more through 8 games in 2015 but subtracting that year it's by far the most since 2011.
Through 8 games for the past 6 years Bama - 55,65,78,106,125,119
LSU, on the other hand, has only given up 6 more points through 8 games than we did with that all time 2011 defense. AND BY FAR the fewest through 8 games than we have since 2011.
Through 8 games for the past 6 years LSU -
92,117,181,136,188,98
Also.. This offense is better than 2011's.
This could very well be LSU's best team (yes - even better than 2011) since 2003.
We have a very good chance to win this game.

I agree. Maybe we should start the talk to inflate their egos that they would beat the Jets, LOL
Posted on 10/26/16 at 9:59 pm to 0jersey
Read somewhere their defense and ST have scored almost as many touchdowns as they have allowed....
