doc you are seriously under estimating miles love for murphy. he now has even more reason to put him on the field for more snaps that should be going to ford

from what i'm hearing... in practice, it's painfully obvious to the players and coaches who the better back is...

Some twit wants to dump 1,000 yard runner for someone who has the POTENTIAL(but has yet to actually do it) to break a biggie.
Some numbnutz actually believes that a DC is AFRAID of some backs that haven't proven anything.
A nevernever land escapee has no idea how such other factors as blitz pick up have no place in player selection, but insists that he is qualified to set the line up for a bowl game.

I think we will be better without Peterson too. Instead of throwing away from him all the time the ball will be spread around and everyone gets a chance to get interceptions.

This thread seems to be going VERY well, don't ya think?
As for me, I'll take the 1,000 yd rusher who achieved those yds despite having no passing threat AND an absurdly predictable offense that made 3 yds a DAMN fine accomplishment, with or without the dust...

well its obvious who here is satisfied with an offense ranked in the 100s and who isn't

In what universe are we better off without a senior running back who rushed for more than 1000 yards the year before?

It would be best if all of the starters were ruled ineligible.. Then the coaches would be forced to play the stockpile of playmakers the RANT calls for.

Fire our winningest coach. Bench our best running back. and someone go tanya harding on Patrick Peterson. Then we'd finally be good!!

He is so right.Texas a&m is better off with Ridley out. He is a A&M FAN.Not a LSU fan.

You are too funny. You get your azz handed to you and you try to come back with THAT? That's the best you can do?

Sitting Ridley would have improved the "ranking" of the LSU offense by how many positions? How many more touchdowns? How many more yards rushing. How many more yards passing?
How much longer before your mommy sends you off to bed and takes her computer back?

LSU has no shortage of talented running backs. Michael Ford and others will easily pick up where Ridley was.

I'm as big a Ford fan as there is on the board - from my home town and I know him personally.

BUT - I want Ridley in there!!! I want Ford to get his share of carries but I think Ridley is the number one.

With Jordan Jefferson hopefully out of the lineup next year, all those wasteful carries taken by JJ(111 rushes for a measley 3.5 avg) will go to guys like Ford, Ridley and Seppard (I hope). If you want to put the ball in the playmakers hands don't take carries away from Ridley (4.6 YPC, 14 tds)take them away from knucklehead Jefferson. If the passing game is improved next year 1300 yds should be Ridley's goal for the next season.

just imagine if 111 carries were given to the RB's instead of jefferson this year...

More carries for Murphy scares the crap out of me.

BTW, no point in trying to argue. The sunshine pumpers hate big play guys. They're still convinced that Hester is a better back than KW. Ford is the future and thanks to some misfortune for Ridley, he is now the present. Ford will go for 100+ in the Cotton Bowl if given Ridley's share of the carries.

I think LSU will be alright without Ridley. He will be missed but RB is a position where LSU definitely has talent.

No kidding. The football IQ of some of the Rantards in this thread is approaching single digits. Of course we are a stronger team without our 1000+ yard All-SEC RB that is the only real leader on an anemic offense. There is as much idiocy in this thread as I have seen in awhile, and that's saying something.

what an amazingly stupid post.

Losing an all-SEC RB doesn't make you better.
