I'd be more than happy with 2 out of 3.

2/3 confidently... ...

I saw them play on Friday and Sat night V USC, and they handled them pretty easily. No long balls.

our pitching shouldn't have too much trouble. They are a light hitting bunch(to put it nicely). No HR's and 15 doubles in 11 games. Also, only 15/29 in steals.

Fullerton's level of competition is way above what LSU has played. CSF will probably take 2 with superior pitching and small ball.

Very true, but, prior to Sunday LSU handled its schedule with ease. Not saying you're wrong. I think it will be a tightly contested series with neither team sweeping. We need to fill up the zone and flash some leather to stay on the field with these guys. I'm sure we'll be up to the task.

The flip side is considering who LSU has played I would expect their numbers to be higher than .326

Should be a great series. I am especially excited to see if the pitching for both teams is as good as advertised.

We lost to Princeton ! I give up, TITans sweep the series and the fire the coach threads start.

Andy (Baton Rouge): Any early thoughts on the Fullerton-LSU series at the Box this weekend? Can LSU's young guys win the series?

Aaron Fitt: Sure they can, but that doesn't mean they will. Fullerton seems to be finding its stride right now; Anthony Trajano has given the offense a real spark, and the pitching has been outstanding. I think Fullerton is much better than LSU on the mound, but the Tigers are more dangerous offensively... I'm just not convinced LSU is good enough with the bats to knock around that elite Fullerton pitching. And Fullerton is talented enough offensively to do OK against LSU's arms. So I think I'm taking the Titans on the road — they're clearly now cowed by tough atmospheres, as they proved with a series win at TCU in front of big crowds.

Game 1 = 5566
Game 2 = 4606
Game 3 = 4647

vs 11,000 at the Box

ETA. Those numbers above are paid, not actual attendance

Keep laughing. I just don't see the team being intimidated, especially the pitching since 2/3 starters and the closer have been to the CWS.
