Til he got hurt, they talked about Brooks being another LT.

He also wore #56 in the pros

Another was Roy Mooney Winston! He hit Larry Csonka so hard, Larry crawled to the sideline, thinking his back was broken. The beginning of this video shows the hit!

The Hit!

Truly would have been in the Pro Football HOF. I met a coach named Burt Hill up in Dallas. Bert was a S&C Coach with the Lions from 1990-2001. Bert said there was no doubt Eric was HOF caliper player.

Oh, as for Bert, he was the S&C Coach for the Miami Dolphins 2005-2007, the head coach, was a little short guy, Nick.

Eric Hill was the most violent tackler in my 68 years. He was a beast.

I remember being in the student section in 1988 when LSU got destroyed by Miami. Was a miserable game. Towards the end Miami had the ball near the student section and someone threw a glass flask that landed near Eric Hill. He picked it up and launched it back into the stands. If it hit someone they were dead because he really slung it. He was pretty pissed off.

Eric Hill and Devin While have to be my favorite LSU Linebackers of all time

Brooks will always be my favorite Linebacker. He and Hill were awesome.

Michael Brooks got a lot of press at linebacker during that era (2 years older than Hill) and was an outstanding linebacker when healthy. However, Hill was a beast in his own right and a tackling machine.

Both were better than the Boz
