I went to 6 scrimmages this spring and i agree. None of the freshmen seemed ready to be a starter against D1 competition, IMO.

D1 is typically a big adjustment from HS. Looks like this year's class has potential, but that potential may not be realized until some time down the road. IMO a couple may eventually get there, but the expectation of fans for one of these guys to fill the Sunday spot isn't realistic. We don't have a Mestepay/Ranaudo/Nola in this class.

I think it's a mistake that Devall, Newman, & Reynolds only have 4.3 IP between the three of them, and that Sewald & Butler have no appearances.

And you're basing this on how many bullpen sessions that you've watched? It cracks me up when fans act like games are the only time the coaches can evaluate these guys. If CPM put any of those young guys in for lot's of innings, and he had a ERA of 15, you'd be screeching about what knuckleheads our coaches are.

Hey you! SHUT THE frick UP.

You have no idea what I would be saying if Mainieri put them in for more innings, so stop assuming you know me and frick off.

How only one person in here mentioned Glenn blows my mind. He has the potential to step up as a stud. The team is grooming him as a weekend starter. He'll be in the rotation by seasons end barring an injury.

Very interested to see him on Tuesday (I'm assuming he will start). It will be a road game in a hostile environment. Him pitching well would be a big step forward in his devlopment.

If Glenn pitches well Tuesday night, I just assume go ahead and move him to long relief Sunday and let him start the following Sunday.
