It's called HGH. Most people have no clue how drug testing is actually done.
If you test positive for HGH doesn't a positive test indicate a blood concentration level higher than normal? And even in some cases there are some athletes with higher than normal levels of HGH. In other words, HGH is extremely difficult to catch as a PED.

Former walk on here to share my thoughts on Moffitt:
The spring and summer work outs were the most physically and mentally challenging things I've been through to date. Each player was evaluated and given a regimen depending on target goals and position. This wasn't like going to the rec or 24 hour fitness and working out.
For spring work outs, two players were assigned one personal trainer. That personal trainer was assigned to break you.
This was ten years ago. Maybe Moffitt has changed, but when I was there.. it was something else
As a long time gym rat, just because you wear someone out, or "break them" does not translate that you made them stronger, quicker, more explosive. Obviously we get man handled in the trenches. Something needs to change

My point is really more about the tests conducted not the actual substance. The NCAA does not test most athletes. The University does. You think Alabama a school that lets guys with firearms and drugs play cares about steroids? Our players are the same size as theirs and train just as hard but get manhandled. You think that's because they spend more time in the gym or have some secret workout plan? Come on man. No way. Our offense sucks on top of all that but I've been convinced for years them dudes are on some serious shite. Just look at the necks on some of them. Savion Smith was a bean pole here now all of a sudden he's 25-30 lbs heavier? Plus he failed drug tests and couldn't pass classes now he's rehabilitated and a scholar.

Maybe shorter practices have softened our players up. You can say what you will about Les Miles, but you never used to say that his players weren't tough and physical.
I don't claim to know how O and LSU train their players, but if he pushes them hard in the offseason and then backs off a little during game weeks that may be OK. You don't want to fatigue the players, but not make them soft either so you have to be able to strike that balance.
I will say this. There is a noticeable difference I see when it comes to tackling. I see Bama and other teams taking our players down on 1st contact and I see our defenders miss tackles a lot. This could be a negative effect of practice style. It even hurts our offensive players. Our skill guys need to practice slipping and breaking tackles. I would bet our YAC is not very good at all.

This is still on the coaches. It's been a reoccurring theme over the last few years. Too much complacency in this program. Should have cleaned house.

The players should just go the SARM route and just leak to the players when the random drug test will occur so they can time their cycles appropriately.

On off the bench (104.9) during Bugger McFarland's call in segment, he was asked about the Bama Butt Beatdown. His response was that in his opinion LSU's big men we're dominated by stronger, more athletic Bama linemen who wanted it more. Simple! He also said that the gap has widened there and that there is alot of blame to go around but the evaluation process must start by looking at what happens when new players arrive at LSU. He directly mentioned that the evaluation must start with coach Moffit and how the players are developed there. There are growing opinions that are finally coming forward related to this ongoing problem.
So, he never talked about the youth of our O-line, nor the lack of experience, nor those leaving for the NFL or suspended.....he focused on conditioning.
LSU is started 3 sophomores (2 of which are true soph), a transfer junior and a true freshman on the O-line vs. Bama's 1 transfer senior, 2 juniors (1 RS) and a RS soph.
LSU has to get better..no question. However, OL needs time, experience, talent and continuity to work.

How can you down vote a post of mostly facts?

I agree with what Booger said except for the part about the Bama players "wanting" it more. I don't think our lineman got beat because the did not give effort and did not badly want to win the game. They got beat by more athletic linemen across from them.
If I got into a fight with Conor McGregor he is going to kick my butt, no matter how much I want to kick his. Just because you lose doesn't mean you did not try your best to win.

I’m just wondering here, but who put Moffitt into the position he currently holds at LSU. Might it be the same guy who now tells us that being ranked 13th in anything among SEC programs constitutes a “great” job???

So Booger blames the players and doesn't mention anything about scheme? Ok but then he also would not give credit to the Saints OL for handling a dominant Rams d-line and just praised Brees and the scheme. Hmm...
Booger, just like the rest of the espn talking heads, will not admit there is a problem until it punches them in the face. "No one can beat bama" but they've lost a game every year during this run.
Just admit the scheme is garbage and does not help the players succeed. It's lazy to just look at the o-line getting beat and blame the players individually.

Great observation. And I wish our guys would not over pursue when they blitz or rush the passer. Also, Bama coaches their guys to put their hands up when the qb is throwing. Look at the batted down balls they had on us.

BAMA GIVES THEIR PLAYERS PED's
Bama does not conduct drug testing like most programs do.
Bama gets people qualified that can not get qualified at LSU (Eddie Lacy is a prime example)
Bama's recruiting budget is said to be 3 times LSU's...
how is this so if true?
SEC office in Alabama for 70 years, can we talk about moving it to another state?

Makes sense, weve been getting pushed around just the last few years. Even in 12 and 13 we we're beating the shite teams. Now we get pushed around by Troy.

LSU has been getting whipped on the lines by bama since 2013. i am not sure why people are just now noticing th

Nailed it! You will never see a 345 lb nose tackle on Alabama's defensive front. They are all 295 lb range and can really move. LSU must transition to a quicker defensive front. I thought Foko playing nose was a very good move. He was quicker and gave us a rush from inside. He's hurt so we can't put him there but that worked very well for us. Alexander is to heavy, can't get off his blocks and is slow
