How should I know? Im not the AD. Depends how much money we want to commit. But Verge needs to be in the ear of all the agents and see who's interested.

I would agree with you. If Mark Few is willing to come to Baton Rouge, I’m all for it.
If you think LSU is the first school to make a run at Mark Few, you are a moron. He didn’t leave Spokane for UCLA, he didn’t leave Spokane for Lexington, Kentucky, but you’re dumbass thinks he’s coming to Baton Rouge.
You have told me everything I need to know. I challenged you to come up with one name, and Mark Few is the name you came up with. It’s clear, you can’t name one coach that LSU has a good chance of landing that has a better record than will wait.

The checkbook game doesn't even work that well in basketball. The list of schools that can offer $13m/year in football is small. The list of schools that can offer $5m/year (where the Top 10 starts) in basketball is not. Particularly when basketball is the actual money / prestige program at so many schools, and they will counter with everything they have...which is made easier by the fact that most don't have to also pay a football coach $13m
We'd have to offer closer to Top 5 to get a long-established coach to even consider leaving a stable program to join the SEC's cellar. It's a laughable notion

There are, but he has been here before and proved that he could win and win consistently. That is what we want. He won an SEC title and we regularly made the tourney. He's also young and can still be improving as a coach.
