Yorke is good defensively. Soft hands, good footwork, he's athletic. I have seen him diving for grounders, jumping for high throws. We are good there.

How has Yorke looked defensively in the past scrimmages?
Last Friday, Coach called for a suicide squeeze. Bunt was successful towards first. Yorke made it there, grabbed the ball and threw the runner out at home. Was really nice play by Yorke.

In an interview last week Chase Evans said that Yorke has a shortstop's glove & feet. "Very athletic" and "the funniest player on the team, a great person".

Thanks Doge. Go warm up
It may sound crazy but it got better during the second half scrimmage. Winds died down and it wasn't blowing into our faces anymore

Curiel hasn’t had many good ABs in these scrimmages. I wonder if he’s still hurt.

I think a lot of people will be surprised by his instincts and quick feet. Dude moves very well on the base paths as well as good footwork around the bag.

We watched him like hawks and no signs of it that I've seen. He is getting on base decent but not swinging at much that he can't hit.
I think once the lights come on he will crank it up another notch

That’s a lot of well hit balls in less than ideal weather.
