Thanks again Wild! Nice day by the freshman Braun. 2 for 4 with a HR, 2BB, 1HBP and 1K.
Sounded as though his 1B could have been stretched into a double and he was robbed by a great play for Samford on a hard hit ball.
Looking forward to seeing this kid's development.

Did Simpson hit 2 homers today?

I'm not sure. I know he had 1 homer. I wasn't in Biloxi but I think Wild said that he may have hit another one in the last game.
ETA: This was Wild's call...
That would have been his 2nd homer today if it went yard. Scuba may have all the stats compiled by tomorrow.

Not that I'm just noticing today, but we have an insane amount of quality arms. I think we're as deep as ever at almost every position, too. Now it's just finding out who will step up.

Besides Milam at SS and probably Yorke at first its really up in the air. Reaves, Dardar, Simpson, Pearson and Carraway are going to fight for 2B and 3B. I don't know how that will shake out. All five can play both positions, so it will be interesting. It will probably come down to offensive production more than defense
