didn't realize you could click on the coaches. She has a pretty impressive bio. I wouldn't be disappointed based on that info

Brittney Sneed for LSU Softball coach
For women's softball at LSU to reach a championship level caliber they need to bring in someone from the West Coast. They Need someone that can push softball year round within the state. More then coaching, Louisiana softball needs a ambassador for the sport. Till then, West coast will continue to dominate the sport.
You just disqualified yourself from the discussion.
Fast-pitch softball in Louisiana is REDONKULOUSLY well developed in terms of youth leagues. Whether you're talking about year round or summer-league teams, or high school, there is a HUGE feeder system that ULL used for years.
Talent's here to get sh!t done.
You don't have to go out West for sh!t. The kids are here. If you build a program and maintain success consistently, you can even build a fanbase at LSU.

Why hasn't she built Memphis quickly then? Their best record is 36-25 in 07 and they followed that up with 3 straight losing season.

Memphis started their fledgeling program 3 yrs ago. She has already turned down Kentucky. Ask around the country, she IS the up and coming coach

Cool for her. She can continue to be up and coming at Memphis while we find someone a little more big-time.

I think you mean Britni Sneed...
Baylor Bears

She would be one of the very few in this category that I would be interested in. It is her time.

You can't win a national title with just Louisiana kids. You can field a very competitive team and build a foundation with in-state kids but whether it's from Texas, California or Florida, some of the holes must be filled from the outside whether it's the prototypical lead-off slapper, several power hitters, big-time catcher or the top two in a pitching rotation.

Looks like Britni is fibbing on her Baylor bio
quote:
Sneed was named Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2002 after going 34-7 with a 0.75 ERA and 478 strikeouts in 281.0 innings. She earned Louisiana player of the year and SEC all-tournament honors twice.
For her career, Sneed was 120-25 with an ERA of 0.89. She tossed 106 complete games with 55 shutouts and six no-hitters. Sneed allowed just 489 hits and 184 walks in 976.1 career innings pitched.
A native of Houston, Texas, Sneed was a High School All-American at Cypress-Fair High School and was recently inducted into the school's hall of fame. She holds SEC career records for wins, ERA, opponents' batting average (.147), shutouts, strikeouts and strikeouts per seven innings (9.82).
Somebody needs to let her know that Monica Abbott pitched in the SEC
Also this
quote:
She ranked second nationally in strikeouts per game as a senior, and her career strikeout total of 1,370 ranks second in NCAA history.
isn't true either

She did when she left LSU, that's on Baylor for not updating her profile.

Somebody at Baylor needs to update their bio on Britni...that link takes you to a page created in 2006 (when Sneed actually DID still own all those records).
That page says she is in her 3rd year at Baylor...and she joined the staff in 2004....
