No it's not. LSU'S financial situation is significantly better than NC state. A big factor in this is the TV payout disparity which is even worse now because the ACC is reducing payouts to the NC state and syracluse types that don't have the viewership of the top ACC schools.
LSU is also in a better basketball and overall league. The wolfpack's home atmosphere is mediocre at best (i was at the syracluse game Tuesday, and we have the Deaf Dome when we're winning).
I could see Wade wanting to be at a school guaranteed to be in the "big league". LSU'S spot is guaranteed. NC state has NO CLUE where they'll be relegated to once the TV deals expire around 2030. Or what the payout per team will be in a new league or a watered down ACC.
One final significant negative: they play their home games OFF CAMPUS which i believe contributes to the lack of atmosphere at the games.

Only because they emhasize basketball and LSU doesn't.

No. The saying that a school is a “basketball school” means most of their big donors and large donations go to the basketball team first. Facilities, stadium upgrades go to the basketball team first. It’s kinda hard to call Indiana a basketball school now. They’re like ND in football. Great history but haven’t won a title since the late 80’s. Kansas, UConn, North Carolina, Kentucky, Duke, Arizona, Georgetown, Purdue, and Michigan St. are all examples of “basketball schools”. It’s like us recruiting against Kentucky or Kansas in football. All things being equal financially, the recruit will most probably pick LSU because of facilities, stadium, rabid fan base, past history, and plenty of other factors that make LSU what they are in football.

To be fair, I think artificial intelligence might do you well. Imagine the lack of intelligence it takes to discredit the coach who had the highest winning % at the school in 100 years while making four years of excuses for the worst HC in school history. Not just basketball..but any sport A guy who STILL has less SEC wins in 3 and half years than the other guy had in one season
