Dude have you ever had a bad case of the flu? It aint gonna magically dissappear with a IV.
Yes I have had the flu. And it eventually goes away. No way I would call myself out of anything the night before. It makes no sense. It isn’t magical, it’s just how viruses go. You eventually get better

Kelly failed this team by getting rid of Orgerons masking policy. Ignoring the science.

I won’t get into whether or not your sources are legit or not. Can you confirm it’s the flu and not something more serious for the young man? Thx

If it’s already a guarantee he is out that’s strange. If it was the flu or a virus it makes no sense to call him out already. Because you can feel shite one night then the next day feel so much better, especially if you get fluids/treatment

I don’t agree. If you have the flu and the symptoms put you in the ER for fluids he’s also probably very weak, nauseated, etc.

Highly unlikely he would play at 11 the next day. It doesn’t surprise me he’d already be ruled out.

I’m not saying being out of a game because of the flu is odd. I am saying being ruled out of a game the day before because of it is odd. That is so much time to be ruled out for a virus. If that’s the case, he is in extremely bad shape today that is far worse than the average person

Fever, chills, and dehydration is not something that is going to rule you out the day before a game in most cases, because you may be materially recovered by the next day

It was either 2012 or 2013 and the flu hit the nfl hard in the playoffs. A few players missed, but most played and even some played while still having fever (funny to think pre covid). Being ruled out the day before because they had the flu the day before the game would have been strange as hell. It was “so and so feels like dogshit today, hopefully after fluids and rest he is good to go tomorrow”. And the vast majority played. Now Bruce Arians went to the hospital though and missed the game

Then like I said he is having a very bad presentation of the flu if that is even what he has. I would think it’s possibly something worse if they already know he has no chance to play

Wish him well

I have zero answers to what Campbell has. Just saying it’s odd to be ruled out the day before a game for an athlete with the flu.

Why are you assuming it’s the flu?

Only becasue that is how the conversation started. I actually think it’s not the flu personally if he is truly already ruled out

“The flu” is a catch all for someone being sick. Does he have something way more serious?

I'd put it like this.

A player with an active virus that hasn't been able to eat well for a couple or three days, who is running fever, and who needed an IV because he had become dehydrated isn't going to play the next morning.

All of that seems like a reasonable assumption if he has the flu, and ended up in the ER.

Agreed. But that also isn’t normal for the flu. That would be an extremely bad case for a young person
