Yep, but it's different. That is why they have different charges for different circumstances.

How do people not understand this?
While true, you also have to remember that this stuff doesn't occur in a vacuum. The DA isn't going to accept charges unless he thinks he can convict. It's already hard as shite to convict on 2nd degree battery without all the nonsense involved in this case.

I will take that as you know you're over your head in this discussion. Please work on forming complete sentences while on the msb.

Takes much smarter man to realize he's not going to convince someone blinded by loyalty....why waste time?
Also phone posting while on road so typos happen

This has nothing to do with loyalty. If I heard this scenario and it didn't involve LSU I would have the same stance. And I bet that some that share your view would also change their opinion on the matter.
It works both ways b/c a lot of fans see this as an opportunity to get rid of JJ.
You act like they should throw the book at a kid who kicked someone in a bar fight. Since he isn't hurt that should have some bearing on the law that can be applied. Had he caused serious injury then he should be charged.

Can Lowery be arrested or charged with anything?

Considering that I have inside info I do not think that my defense of JJ or the fb players actions is blindly following my heart.
It isn't like JJ is some all american QB or something that would have more fans blindly defending him. But I do feel a kid that has never been involved in any off field trouble should be given the benefit of the doubt until proven guilty.

From how you act on here I would think someone has beaten your arse IRL. Did you press charges?
I have seen many fights involving frat stars that did much worse than kicking someone. Never saw them get arrested. Generally dismissed as drunk kids doing something stupid.
If the marine (who is the one who apparently got kicked) had suffered serious injuries an arrest should be made.
