LSU has needed to make this move for years but nobody would have the onions to do it.
To execute at a very high level, a player must be delivered to the field in proper shape. This is one of the most important jobs on staff. Exceited to see what happens there going forward.

Let's get the coach who has the direct connection to the Deer antler spray, Lol

Thank you Coach Moffitt! Judging by your overall career results there’s no doubting that you had a big hand in contributing to the Tigers phenomenal results.
All the best in your life and career!

This isn’t a great start firing a man who has been the mainstay of LSU football for 25 years.
Why? In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve been getting manhandled and pushed around a lot by supposedly inferior teams at strength positions. If ever a change was needed, this was the place. Tenure has nothing to do with keeping a job. The man needed to go.

One tough son of a bitch! Thanks for everything Coach

If there is a positive spin on this, you'll find it here.

Wow.
I’m not surprised he’s out, but I’m surprised he’s the first coach to get the axe.

This program needed a reset in a lot of different ways
Even saban knew he needed a change when he all but demoted Cochran

The first thing Kelly saw is probably the lack of toughness on the team and the insane amount of injuries over the past couple of years.
Not even close to being true
The roster was gutted & run down after 2019 & Moffitt has nothing to do with that. You just think because Darren Evans has to get reps it’s Moffitt’s fault he doesn’t look like Patrick Peterson.
Or that Jack Mashburn was the best TE on the roster this year. Should have been more like George little I guess. Or that they were going to start a walk on at MLB had he not been injured.

Over the last 5 nfl drafts
- 39 players selected
- ten 1st rd picks
- 23 top 100 selections
And you think Tommy Moffitt isn’t the one doing his job.
Naw, it couldn’t have anything to do with the two bozos that got fired a few years apart
Ex players about to start a revolt. Not the most well thought out move to start your career

Now everyone can be happy since so many posters threw him under the bus

Strength and conditioning doesn’t need reinventing or innovation

Right? The very First guy you think should go, Coach? Lol
Weren’t you on here saying you have to let the new coach hire his own guys? You can’t say that and start complaining when you don’t like who he lets go.

Thanks Moffitt.
It was time. Two years in a row where conditioning has plagued us early in the season. Mauled and manhandled by UCLA. MSU players saying LSU players were out of shape in 2020, O and some players saying the same in 2021... it was time.

He was part of 3 Nats under 3 head coaches. That's something to be proud of. But this program has hit the reset button so a lot of what the school, the team and the fans have gotten comfortable with is going to change.

I am totally unhappy with this change. There is no need to fix what isn't broken.
Posted on 12/4/21 at 9:46 am to LSUfanaddict
Will he be staying on in some other capacity?
Posted on 12/4/21 at 9:52 am to Lester Earl
The last few years the conditioning sucked. Getting pushes around on both lines. Good riddance.

Wow.
I’m not surprised he’s out, but I’m surprised he’s the first coach to get the axe.

Or is it a lack of skill of the linemen?
