Les had a major problem and that was he wanted to act like the head coach while doing the job of the offense coordinator. That was his down fall. If he would have let his coordinator do his own job there would have been a much different offensive attack. He was even warned about doing this but refused to listen. O has his own future in his hands . Get great coordinators and let them do their jobs. O needs to look at the overall picture of what is going on and watch the clock . He can also throw in a few plays that he thinks will work.

Well now that my cover is blown, I'm off to AggieOnAggie.com to see which incoming Aggie recruits we can influence closing into signing day. Judging from the inevitable pounding Alabama will receive from Clemson soon, I hear Saban also likes anal, which should be a major talking point on there.

Cameron had all the same faults Offensively as Miles and was fired by the Ravens for it. Miles went into steep decline after hiring his best friend, Best Man, Godfather to his son, him to his. 10-10 SECW 15-10 SEC over the last 3 yrs. That was a nice retirement package for Cameron.

To not buy in at this point is to root against the Tigers.
Kirby Smart at ALA: Until you look in the mirror and admit why you are getting your arse whipped Offensively/Defensively and change things you are not going to get better.
LSU is always thinking they are going to win sometime in the future and really good at making excuses for inconsistent play (Troy/MSST) when the reason is the HC and the Offensive Philosophy is dated.
So, Alleva, is yet to make ONE Top FB HC hire in 20 yrs as AD at Duke and LSU. There was no search and O hit the Alleva NO SEARCH - no ballsack - D-Line Coach Will Be Just Fine - Lottery.
After leaks to the press Alleva was humiliated to lose Herman, who he could have had for 6 million but lied to and low-balled and then went into panic mode in the middle of the night. The next morning, on Nov. 26, Alleva called Ed Orgeron and offered him the head coaching job. He never even met with Herman or tried to sell him on the SEC/LSU. He hired Orgeron on no sleep instead of mounting a search. Why? Because he lost Fisher and Herman the same way: a failure to negotiate.
The Offense is not Productive and is still the Achilles heel of the program. Canada is not out recruiting a QB - he had 1 commit before last season - and he is not leaving a 1.5 million/yr guaranteed job just because O is not and has never been effective as an HC motivator and program builder. He is not in the class of Saban, Herman, Meyer, Kiffin, Smart, Swinney, Fisher, Malzahn, Pruitt, Morris, Taggert, Patterson, Richt, Mullen.......McElwain beat him.
The DBU Defense was not the problem, it was always far better than the Offense.
The whole rationale behind replacing Miles was to get an Offensive Coach who knows how to develop and utilize QBs/WRs in a modern spread/tempo/RPO scheme and score Points and beat Saban. That was not done and now we have what amounts to the same 3-Loss Miles-Zone status. Unless the Offense/Defense is Top 5-10 you are not going to the Playoffs. LSU, this decade, has finished in the top 25 nationally in points just twice (17th in 2011 and 23rd in 2013). Those same performances would not be Top 50 today.
LSU is still stuck in the SLOW NO PASSING zone.
Saban brought in Kiffin and he took Blake Sims a small WR and broke every Offensive record at ALA. Sims would have never seen the field at LSU. Kiffin then took 2 more completely different QBs and went to the NC game, one a true FR, and Coker a klutz. QB development and effective play-calling with Tempo is killing it. Then Kiffin went to FAU and did it with Driskell. LSU has a 5th yr in Mett and Etling and struggles to give them reps or pass protection.
Saban went to the finals with a FR QB and would have won if he had not fired Kiffin. Glad he fricked that up and Clemson won. Clem BELIEVEs they will win it again. Orgeron gave what amounted to a CYA concession speech before the ALA game listing that ALA has the Top D and O. We do not BELEIVE we can compete with them and for good reason.
Kiffin ranked top 3 Nationally in Conference Scoring Offense: 9-0 averaging 45 pts/game. He let Kendal Briles teach him Art's no Playbook Offense and the Players learned it in 3 weeks. Bear Bryant installed the Wishbone in 2 Weeks. LSU continually makes the excuse that their Offense is too complex to learn quickly...and it is. Take a hint from Kiffin - NFL pro-stlyle offenses will not win shite in the FBS Scoring Contest. He gives the credit to Saban who picked it up from Swinney and Herman after Herman said all he had to do was run his Big D side to side until they were gassed and then send Eliot and the WRs to gash them.

Criticizing his coaching is one thing. What you are doing is making a personal attack.

You called the LSU coach a moron. If he was one, he would not be making over $3 million a year and be the head coach of LSU.
You're hatred is questionable for someone who says they are not getting paid for it.

Thank GOD !!! Hotlips could be the head coach at LSU instead of playing in the "dirty water" bowl game with a 6 win season.

Give Alleva a raise. The kissing-bandit would have been a bigger sham at LSU then he is at Texas. Thank goodness they got him.

this is bullshite. You do realize that right? Glad you love someone who told LSU to kiss his arse twice. Too bad the guy went out and won 5 games this year with the 2nd most talented team in his conference.

With the O-line problems LSU had this year you were expecting to lead the nation in points scored? A national championship? I wonder how many teams have won a national championship starting 2 freshmen on the O-line?
quote:

I think he was pretty effective this year. And if you think his fires, extensions, promotions and hires aren't good for building a program I don't know what to tell you. I guess you would prefer to have Cam Cameron and Bradley Dale Peveto?
quote:

Take out Saban, Meyer and Swinney who have been at their schools for a while and have won NC's and you would have a hard time making an argument to back your bullshite statement.

Your are just "all kinds" of full of shite aren't you? The rationale behind getting rid of Miles is because he was repeatedly outcoached, couldn't figure out what purpose the game clock served and lying to his boss telling him he would change the offense and not doing it.

I cant Hate a coach for losing to Troy or leaching off my University to pursue his own gains?

Damn dude, so you are saying you blame Aranda for giving up 37 to MS St and 24 to Troy> The most points given up all season were in those two games.
The offense was pure garbage in both of those games which eventually tired the defense out. No dline depth.

Two of Troy's touchdowns came on their first drive of each half. Worn out to start the game and the 2nd half?

MCFarland Breaking it down after ALA/ARK loss 2015:
Overall you could sum LSU up in one sentence: The lack of O progression over Miles tenure has been saddening. That is the biggest issue with the people in LA. It is such a struggle on O. And the whole country got to see what happened at ALA and after the 1st qtr everybody in America knew you could not run the football against that defense. But Les kept trying.
But it is the evolution of the O that has me and the faithful concerned. Any objective fan is concerned. Go back to 2011 when LSU beat ALA 9-6 in the GOTC. LSU came in with a little wrinkle called the dive option. Fast forward to the NC and LM shows up with the same game plan. Since that game LSU’s O has been going downhill. The O development has not been there and we get tired as analysts watching so much talent trying to play in a phone booth. Let the thoroughbreds runs, let them out, open the O up. Why do you recruit 4 and 5 star receivers if you are not going to throw the football? And why since LM has been there has there been no QB development? That is a Q noboby has ever answered for me in BR and I think it is high time it gets answered. So OM is up next and LSU and OM both lost to ARK. This is gut check game on the road and if LSU loses again by double digits it is going to be tough on LM. Since 2011 the trend of wins in the SEC has gone down (8-0, 6-2, 5-3, 4-4, 5-3). And right now he is at 4 wins, 4-2. If you lose to OM you are 4-3 and then it really doesn’t matter what else you do. If they lose by 3 that is one thing but if the lose by 21 then it is time to make a move because we have seen it over and over. In BR you hear LM is a great coach who will get you 8, 9, 10 wins, but you have 12, 13 win talent. You are as talented as ALA, OSU so I am not afraid of risking the 8, 9, 10 wins if I can get the 11, 12, 13 wins. I think that is the thing that people in BR wonder “Can we do better?” This is very similar to what Golden State did when they dumped Mark Jackson and hired Steve Kerr. People are talking about the 15 million buyout but money is not the issue, and I don’t want LM to lose his job. What I would love for him to do is open the offense up, but how many times can we watch the same antiquated O do the same things over and over? And I don’t think he is capable of change. Les is a Big 10 guy who wants to run the ball and with LF he should run but at some point you have to open the offense up. This is not just me but all of LA who have watched the lack of O development. 90% of the people say the same thing “What is wrong with the O? Why can’t we get a QB, but it is a Philosophy”. Sometimes you have to understand what is holding you back and know when to change. People always say lets stop talking about Saban, but no, we have to talk about Saban. Saban recognized he had the same problem LSU has now a couple of yrs ago. What did he do? Probably against every bone in his body he hired Kiffin to change the O because he knew his weakness. He brought in someone smarter on O than he could ever be and he gave ALA the threat of an explosive O. Right now LSU does not have that threat. So as great as LF is, and I think he is the best back in America, but when you are running against stacked boxes there is nothing he can do as you saw against ALA and ARK.
