Les crapped the bed his last three years against the SEC west and the SEC in general
The most pivotal Prince myth of all.
Let’s check it out shall we?
Alabama:
Miles 0-3
O 0-3
Auburn:
Miles: 3-0 (lost his last game after Alleva had already signed his pink slip, but we’ve been told his “last three years” so let’s stick with full seasons 2013-2015)
O 2-0
Mississippi State:
Miles 2-1 (plus another win in 16 for those that will bitch about Auburn)
O 1-1
Texas A&M:
Miles 3-0
O 3-0 (with another to go)
Ole Miss and Ark (THE REASON MILES WAS FIRED!!!)
Miles 2-4 (good period for those two schools)
O: 6-0 (typical mediocre/awful for those two-ZERO doubt Miles would be any worse these last two seasons.
Florida (permanent opponent):
Miles 3-0
O 1-2
So we pick up four wins against OM and Ark (again, Miles wins those too), and drop two against UF PLUS an OOC loss to a Sun Belt team and get worse against Alabama and MSU.
I’m not seeing the progress

Dude. That’s all you got out of that post? Talk about straining at a gnat. The whole post was based on a “moving forward” philosophy.

SEC West isn't the toughest division in CFB anymore. Maybe 3rd best behind Big Ten East and ACC-Coastal. Every SEC-W teams besides Bama has been at least a 4 loss team the past 3 seasons. Arkansas, Ole Miss, and A&M all fired head coaches within the past 2 seasons, plus Mullen leaving MSU.

Which Ark or OM team do you think Miles would have lost to since 2016?
Posted on 11/12/18 at 12:55 pm to Oilfieldbiology
Cause they don’t have a competent HC

Miles didnt lose to teams that couldnt stop the run.
Arky run defense
2016-89
2017-100
2018-57
Ole miss run defense
2016-117
2017-125
2018-100
The last time he lost to either team Arkansas was 11 the in the country in run defense and ole miss was 20th.

Yeah I’ve posted those stats before.
Arkansas in 14 and 15 and OM 13-15 were some of the best run defenses in the country.
The teams that O has faced have been among the worst.
It was nothing but timing, and O was Johnny on the spot.
Miles easily runs over those teams just as easily if not more so.
Talking about OM and Arkansas while ignoring the insane runs Miles was on against Auburn (7-2 in last nine) and Florida (5-1 in last 6), not to mention MSU (11-1 overall), A&M (5-0), and OOC (56-1

How much do you wanna bet that when we win 10 games this year, posters that dismissed Miles' win% ,10 win seasons, and final rankings as proof miles was a good coach will tout this top 10 finish when we win out as proof O is a good coach?
Its amazing how all of the sudden wins, losses and final rankings validate coaches.

You do realize the West is meh because we beat each other up all season long?
Coach O has been able to be number 2 in the West two years in a row. Pretty solid. No one is touching Alabama right now, especially with the office in their back pockets.

Wouldn't this be true every season?

I'm retarded. I thought this was about Saban. My comment was directed at Saban. Not O. Reading is hard.
I just want to applaud you for being able to laugh at yourself. IMO, it's a quality that everyone should have, but not enough possess.

Its meh because Ole miss is on sanctions, miss state lost their coach, arky is historically bad, and A&M is breaking in a new coach

He has done quite well
he botched up canada's offense and then fired him.
he hired a retread friend. the offense has regressed and is stagnant.
just like miles, o doesn't seem to be fazed by any of it. no urgency to fix or even acknowledge how bad the offense is despite having tons of talent and a total baller at qb.
just like when miles had malleveto as a place holder for chief, if ens is a placeholder then cool. i get it. if ens is the plan, the screw that. o can take a hike.

I read the thread and got to my comment and was like, "look at this retard... O is a strategist and visionary??" then I saw I wrote it. For whatever reason, I thought we were in a Saban thread.

We're #2 so far this year, but we weren't #2 last year. Alabama and Auburn both had better conference records in 2017.

Does it matter if you beat everyone but Alabama? Pretty meaningless.

Aranda is another up and coming mind that LSU should be doing everything in it's power to retain here long term.
If you pay attention to modern football, whether college or pro, teams that have the most success often have offensive minded head coaches running the team or stellar OCs.
