If Morrison throws as many pitches right down the middle as Flukey did, I hope LSU will be more aggressive. I'm not saying it's easy to hit 98, but we took so many pitches down the middle, and really no one but Milam seemed to adjust. I was bewildered by that.
I'm all for being patient, but there's a difference between patient and being passive. Great pitching and defense for LSU in this game. Hope to see our bats a bit more engaged tomorrow.

Hate to tell you, but some reason, the humidity and heat in Conway, SC, is not as bad as Red Stick….but, it’s really bad. This team will not quit, and neither will its fans.
At what inning is it appropriate to leave early to beat the traffic?

And what is it in Louisiana? Do you see LSU acting like asses?

1. His offspeed is hard to adjust to has a high whiff rate
2. Shadows were over the plate making it extremely hard to see the pitches especially 98mph velocity
3. wind was blowing in
It was a pitcher's game and it showed.

I understand this perfectly well, but I'm talking about numerous fastballs down he middle, and this was with or without shadows.

Has nothing to do with taking pitches down the middle. My post wasn't a commentary on lack of deep fly balls.

Sure it was, but that doesn't mean you stand there with the bat on your shoulder over and over. We must have had half a dozen called third strikes. I know we're all LSU fans and we're happy with the win, but it's ok to call a spade a spade. It wasn't going to be a good day for offense, but neither was it a good approach by LSU. I'm quite certain Jay has already said as much to his team.

Lets give him something to like and admire about us

He also had at least 3 balls RIPPED to RF where 1 was a definite homer, another was likely, and the other would probably have been a double. Then throwing a pick off that hits an ump. Without that wind we are scoring way more runs
With that said, wind will be the same tomorrow so we have to figure it out

Coastal coach is the Taylor Sheridan of CBB

I'm not saying they aren't good but their heads are too big for who they are.
For who they are? They were a national seed, a former national championship team, who by the way, beat LSU at Alex Box when they won the whole thing. It's not like they're Murray st

The coastal fans we talked to today seemed pretty cool and were enjoying the environment

They wasn’t looking too cocky in that dugout after the last out. Those were some long sad faces
It’s like they knew they were cooked in the series if flukey didn’t win.

Exactly like Tenn
yep
and it starts at the top
I do hope that if he is throwing strikes on first pitch, that we start swinging at them

Baseball is taken very seriously in SC.
It’s not cockiness. It’s confidence.
CC is a good team.
please kindly stfu, and excuse yourself from thread.
They are feeding off their douche coach...and yes it is cocky. WTF does it mean that baseball is taken seriously in SC so it is excused...like it isn't in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, etc...gtfo with this absolute bs

With the wind, there will be no shelling

I’m not sure as to what the strategy was but many older fans may remember when Skip used to be criticized for having batters take the first pitch or two to drive up the pitch count. It worked.

We need to jump on Morrison early and let his emotions take over his performance. I looked at all of his box scores and I think he is getable. I even watched a lot of his outings through Wheels. He’s good but nothing we shouldn’t be able to hit. I know the Sunbelt is decent but his draw of games definitely helped his stats.
if he was great then he wouldn't be projected 2nd or 3rd round. Of course we can get to him. On top of that, the pressure is on now to match Anderson....plus they are down in the series....if he steps up today and shuts us down I'll tip my hat. I don't expect that to happen though.

Yes they won a nc.
Let's not act like they are some baseball power. This is their second trip to Omaha ever. No, whether they win or lose this series, they aren't close to LSU standards or many other programs. Quit trying to make them that.
