At least CC is coming back next year, should be fully recovered.

Another gigantic difference between a Saban led program and current Lsu. Bama annually gets guys to come back (Allen wasn't the only one) that shouldn't while Lsu has guys like davon and Malachi leave.
Damn man. We just had Dural, Pocic, Beckwith, White, Lac, and Adams all come back for this season. We will have a couple leave this year, but we already have Lac, who could go ahead and go in the draft now, coming back. I am betting we hang onto Chark. Dupre is still a toss up. I think he should stay and improve next year and make himself more NFL-ready, but Godchaux IS NFL ready. He lost a year to injury in HS, and he has a family situation that could use his assistance. He has totally legitimate reasons to leave.

Well the positive is DT will be stacked
I thought he might come back to play one more year for O and with his boy Lac, but - Kendell Beckwith will be the rallying cry for several years - Godchaux is peaking right now - "Go if you can go" - are words to the wise.

Bama has 2 fifth year seniors on their dl, plus a true senior. Until we recruit guys who will stay, we will not compete.
Good luck young man, but we will stay 2nd tier.

It was his Mom who did the trolling on signing day. She wouldn't let him sign with the bad guys. We owe her some thanks!

My theory on that is Bama has put together so many great classes back to back that those guys dont get to start til their junior year so its good for them to come back whereas guys like Godchaux have been starting since their freshman year...by the time theyre done with their Jr year they have 3 years playing experience and are thinking "how much better can i get in college".....the difference is depth

Yes. Thst depth is created by people staying. We are promising early playing time. 18 yos versus 21 yos

I don't agree. Allen was in the same position last season as godchaux is Now. Possible round 1, probable 2nd or later. He comes back is will go top 5. I agree with others in this thread that until Lsu can retain elite players to stay, bama will always be 1 step ahead. That and Lsu needs to recruit the state better. Can't lose guys like Dylan Moses, Chris Allen, etc and expect to catch them.

Well that is not even remotely true... Allen was given a 2nd round grade... Godchaux isn't going in the second...

My opinion is that he should come back. 3-4th rounder.

It's a win lose program at LSU. You sign good players, you develop them and bam, they leave for the NFL.

Thank you Davon and good luck to you
