Nobody. LSU wasn't even on the field. UO beat themselves remember.

10-22 98 yards passing.

So we passed for 8 more yards than we usually do.

70 of your 335 yds came during garbage time playing prevent when the game was in hand.
Can you imagine how many rushing yards you would have had if LSU put 10 guys on the LOS?
Your D hampered our running game for a while but then our O-Line took over the game.
Our O didn't alter their game plan at all your D n
knew what was coming and still couldn't stop it.

What did Oregon hope to accomplish with an onside kick anyways? the final to be 40-34????

Oregon is very talented and no doubt will be back in the thick of things but like Lester Earl said there was a reason for all the penalties and turn overs, it was the Tiger Defense and Special Teams.

With all that said you are just as passionate and delusional as most of us LSU fans are about our respective teams and I respect that about you but nothing else you said

jeezus guys. I am a fan of Oregon. You guys are very good talented team that I thought we'd lose to. Mathieu made of the better plays that I've seen. I am sure he does the same thing to teams all year. I knew Oregon would be sloppy in this game in part because of having one returning WR, two OL and a part timer, and freshman center. I was actually surprised we got 27.

All in all, I am hopeful because we got the 240 yards passing and that we can shore up penalties and turnovers.

Btw, BSU, tOSU, Auburn and Cal all held us under 20. So, that is why I think our offense is better this year.

I wouldn't take any pride in that bullshite last minute garbage time touchdown.

Crowing about that last TD is like me saying, "Well, I got her number!" to my best friend after he brags about bringing home an Oregon Cheerleader & giving her a Cincinnati Bowtie.

You came out in a 3rd quarter and had 17 yards rushing, turned the ball over twice, & gave up 14 fricking points.

But the 4th quarter made you think you'd be better.

In all fairness, Oregon had 20 before the last TD, so he's got a point.

And that monster drive in the 2nd quarter- well, that was an iffy call on the personal foul, but there were still a good dozen plays before it. Anyone here who says they weren't nervous after that is either lying or dumb.

Oregon's good. I wouldn't have been stunned had we lost (disappointed, yeah, since I'm a Tiger fan). But we proved we're the equal to them on speed, and more physical to boot. And more importantly, they flinched and we didn't.

to both teams for nutting up and playing this game instead of a creampuff. I think both teams will benefit from it on the field, even though one will drop in the polls. Go kick arse and take names in the Pac 12 for us; that 27 pt defensive scoring average is gonna need an asterisk next to it (we played a real team, not some Sunbelt chump).

Dison you have nuts to come back and I like you for it. I read some disturbing comments in this thread from you though. I know your hurting and what not, but it really sounds like you think that ya'll lost the game; not that we truely shut you down won it! I guess it is the spin Oregon and most sports writer/media will try to put on it. Tyrann is an animal and to think he didn't draw your guys off sides on purpose or strip the ball because of skill and not luck is funny. Your team jumped off sides because they were scared. Your guys caused penalties because they had to try and even the playing field.
quote:

On the LSU defense bottling up the running game: “(LaMichael) told me he had good holes [quote] I think the offensive line did a great job blocking, we had some holding penalties, a lot of [quote]penalties, that held us back when we did hit a good run.
Ya'll had to hold or leg whip/trip to even get decent yards. Ya'll are a good team and a great team for the pac. We would have had more trouble with ya'll if we wouldn't have had time to condition so I will give you that and yes your little guys even made some big hits which suprised me. Lastly you know now it wasn't a fluke that Auburn beat ya'll and know that you aren't up to the top teams from the SEC. A little bump for you LINK I said :
quote:

Bison these 2 guys are not your normal PAC or SEC ends. They are extremely quick and contain the edges well too! It will be interesting to see how it turns out. I'm not expecting many rushing yards. You are going to have to try and air it out.
and you replied:
quote:

C'mon, man. Mingo is 240 and Montgomery is 245. I am sure they are great to elite pass rusher. However, the aren't elite right now against the run.

I was the first to eat crow on the rant last night after the game and just wanted to come back and eat a little more just in case some of the other ducks don't. ( I hope they do cause I have had about all I can eat...lol).

Any ways just wanted to get this in here for all the other Tigahs that have been asking where all the ducks fans are.

Your team was so consistent last night and didn't let any set backs stop them. Absolutely amazing to watch your defense. That says alot about them and their coaches and your school.

Hopefully we get to play you all again in the future. We are finally getting guys that are close to the caliber of yours, but they are still developing. Never understood getting 250lb lineman out of high school, but I guess thats the way it is.

If any of you are around the East Dallas area in Kemp, Texas on a FRI or SAT during the off season cause I know you aren't comig over here and miss a game to drink a beer with a duck fan. You have an open invitation to come have a beer on me with me and my club brothers I ride with. Just ask for "Dominoe".

blkshp your a good man and I hope that in the future we will have time again to condition for your offense. For a minute or two you got some tempo going and was nervous.

You've got a great team and a great coach. I really don't see who will give you a problem with the rest of your schedule. Your team isn't a cupcake.

Best of luck for the rest of the season and visit us here!

Oct. 22 we play Auburn!

Don't be a stranger.

Three questions, Bison:

1) Which positions (if any) does Oregon have talent equal to or better than LSU?

2) Overall, how wide is the gap between LSU's talent and Oregon's talent?

3) How much better of a team, right now, is LSU than Oregon?

Right now I would say they are twice as good...they didn't have the sloppy penalties that Oregon did and your special teams really was flying to the ball and blocked well. I think we overestimated the talent at the back up positions. I think everyone thought because we had the best recruiting class this year that we have ever had that they would all be able to play right away and be game changers.

2) Overall, how wide is the gap between LSU's talent and Oregon's talent?

I think that is yet to be determined as for the future, but right now it's pretty significant obviously. I really like the new kids we brought in very large frames and are very athletic they just need a year in the weight room and to learn the offense. One of them I didn't realize was playing a good portion on the O-line during the game. Jake Fisher out of Traverse City, MI. Was committed to Michigan, but at the last minute with coaching change came to us. Wasn't big on the list at O-line cause he was more of a TE, but for a really big kid like him, super athletic.

Again now or future, don't know if these questions were to me our Bison, But I think our O-line will be compareable next year or two, I think our linebackers are now are better and have some good ones coming up in our stable, but that has yet to be proven. Really can't compare QB's but for future it looks like you have a really dual threat in JR, but I think the ones we have coming up are better. Marcus Mariota is absolutely sick. Has been running in the spread his whole high school career ad has picked up our offense pretty well so far.
