Dedan Thomas is OUT

I wonder why he is vague and says lower leg instead of an actual part like a toe or ankle.

maybe he has a broken toe and wants to keep it quiet so as to avoid opponents stepping on it.

And I literally just said that’s where the legitimately stupid person part comes in.

Not playing any games. Paying full attention.

Impossible not to notice you’re a legitimately stupid person that embraces mediocrity on every facet of your life.

He did say he "reaggravated" a lower leg injury he had years ago. No idea what that would be. Maybe a stress fracture or something simple like shin splints?

I did find an article that indicated Dedan played through torn ligaments in his ankle, so maybe some arthritic or scar tissue from then.

old article

quote:

Thomas Sr. said his son previously hadn’t missed a game due to injury since middle school.

quote:

Thomas Jr. has previously played through torn ligaments in his ankle, an issue he pushed through last season.

ETA: the article was from the end of last year when he lost some time due to a shoulder injury, but refers to an ankle injury in his freshman year.

Vegas still has us as 7.5 point favorites even without DJ. We should still win comfortably against this worst-in-the-SEC team. However, if we lose to USCe at home, blaming the loss on an injured DJ will not be acceptable. Injuries are part of sports and the roster should be deep enough to game plan without our starting PG.

The only one who hits an open three with any consistency is McKinnon. How many times, when we pass up the open two pointer do we commit a turnover? How many times do our players try to drive when there are three players waiting for them? Far better to take an open two than wind up late in the shot clock with a desperation two or drive which has no chance.
