1. 236.5 Lee v. Florida 2010
Did he throw a pass more than 10 yards downfield in this game? Not trying to dis credit him in anyway b/c he played great but I contended earlier they run 2 different offenses. JL wr screens, quick slants and JJ more deep routes.

True I guess I just see it as 7 horrible games, an open date then a good 2nd half against Bama, then horrible game versus ULM, his best game of the year by far versus Ole Miss (which was the most different than any other game of the year for JJ)then a decent first half and bad second half versus Arky. Then a long time to prep and a good game versus A&M. Doesnt really seem to be a pattern of good play unless you count the game after a week or more off a pattern.

That and the fact I don't know what racism is.
Ahh...that's right. Can't have that discussion without the race card being played.

After a couple of runs, I told my buddy that he looked both faster and quicker. His decision making and cuts looked more decisive as well. I was at the game so I'm not sure if this showed up on TV or not?
He looked very good when it was clear from before the snap he was keeping it. When he had to make an actual read during the play, not so much. That is to be expected.
I think he's the same speed honestly, but the rest of the team looked unenergized that game, so once JJ came in and was playing energized, he looked faster.

Lee regressed as the season went on in 08 and last year. You can even make a case that he did it in 09.
When you have favorites, you can pretty much pull anything out the arse and make it work.
Let's give both of these guys a clean slate and see what they can do this year with a new OC.

He made the right decision on both sweep options. The OLB crashed to the back and kept the ball. If he pitches on that 3rd down, it's at best a gain of one. He picked up eight and the first.

Ummm... no. He got hurt in the Auburn game and for some reason Les and company kept forcing him in there with a horrible wrist injury. He played poorly against ULM, but the whole team did. Outside of that, he never really got legitimate chances to get in rhythm.
But keep trying to knock down Lee to prop up JJ. It's been obvious from day one who you are going to back.

You have your years mixed up.

I was more referring to the speed factor. He read the option plays well. Also, I was more referring to the read option, not traditional plays.
JJ has looked much improved at both since about half-way through last season and it has made him a much more legit running threat.

Antonio he actually was hurt in the Auburn game last year if you remember Fairly body slammed him and he came down on his wrist. Les gave him a couple of more series in the first half but it was clear he couldnt snap off his throws like before and if I remember correctly didnt play him again until LSU's last drive and he still had problems throwing the ball.

Ok, but do you think he was injured the rest of the season. His numbers fell off terribly after Florida:
Tennessee - 128.4
Florida - 236.5
McNeese - 109.2
Auburn - 82.9
Alabama - 137.5
ULM - 64.4
Ole Miss - 33.4

Bringing facts to the party Rudy? How dare you!

I said WOW when I saw him run vs KY. I admit it.
Not to be negative, but if he still cant hit guys on the move with a pass, what will it matter how well he can run, when he plays good teams.

Lee had 2 drives against Ole Miss, and the whole team sucked against ULM and McNeese State including your boy JJ.
Against Bama he also barely played.
He didn't have the benefit of time to get in rhythm like JJ did and the coaches didn't offer it to him. JJ got hot against Ole Miss and the coaches stuck with him at that point. So claiming he tailed off to end the season is a bit disingenuous.

Tony, what have y'all boys been talking about for the last 20 or so pages? how is this still going?

He regressed last year after the Florida game. Blame it on whatever you want, injury, coaching or something else, but he definitely got worse as the season went along.

You claim he regressed last year, yet completely ignore the fact he was playing injured. In particular an injury to the throwing wrist of a QB like JL is detrimental. He shouldn't have been in that game, and he barely played in the two big games (Ole Miss/Alabama) that everyone refers to prop up JJ.
Furthermore, you attack him on the ULM game when JJ played just as poorly and by your token regressed from his BAMA play.

I didnt say or blame his injury on the rest of the season but I think it is fair to say he did play less after the Auburn game and I do think like most qb's he plays better when he gets playing time.
