I hate to be a buzzkill here, but we are 3-0. Long ways to go.

This is a ridiculous hypothetical scenario. LSU is #1, whether the media says we are NOW or not, until we lose. Even a 1 loss SEC team could possibly jump one of the other schools. For instance, if LSU loses 1 game to a top 10 team, but beats the other 4 top 10 teams we play including the SEC title game, our strength of schedule won't even be on the same page as USC and Oklahoma. Oklahoma also has gone 0-7 in there last 7 bowl games. USC won't play anyone in the top 25 all year, if you dont count the pathetic BIG TEN ohio state team.

IF OU goes undefeated, they'll be there for sure. Their OOC schedule will give them a tie break over most SEC schools, especially if its LSU.
Did you even look at their OOC schedule before you posted that?? Cincy -- borderline OK, Washington -- sucks, Chattanooga --- did I even spell it right??, TCU -- decent i guess - they arent in the TOP 25 this year.

USC is a definite if they go undefeated!!
Still too early. If lots of Pac 10 teams start giving them a run and LSU starts dominating teams...then we'll jump them (same for OU or UGA). UGA hasn't lost but they've been slipping b/c of how they won. USC has only played two games. They could be the real deal, but it's still too early.

Your nuts if you think a 1 loss SEC team will get in over two undefeateds, especially if they are national powers like SC an OU

Its just waaaaay to early to tell what will happen in a 3-way undefeated tie w/ USC, OU, and LSU.
1. B/c of the weak schedule, USC should definitely be behind LSU and OU in the computers. But they would probably still be #3 (unless there are other 1-loss Big12/SEC teams). USC would probably need to be lower than #3 in the computers to get knocked out assuming they stay #1 in the polls. And honestly their schedule isn't quite as weak as you think (statistically)....they still play 12 BCS schools (counting ND), that's more than anyone in the country
2. I assume USC stays #1 in the human polls unless they look really bad a couple times. Even if they stay #1, if they lose a significant #1 votes, that could knock them out.
3. In the end, USC probably would be in the NC game. That leaves OU/LSU and it would likely be a tough battle for #1 in the computers (OU playing a tougher OOC schedule, LSU tougher in-conference). OU has the edge the human polls though for now. But I think the human pollsters have the ability to force a historic USC/LSU matchup and probably would unless LSU looks ugly down the stretch.

TCU is top 25 caliber
Washington is a BCS school
Cincy might be top 30 caliber.
2 of those schools look at least top 40 and Washington (while not great) is still probably better than any OOC team LSU plays. I think the computers will be close between the 2 schools

I think we will have at least one loss, so I think it will be OU/USC in the NC game. Their schedules set up for it.
Just my 2 cents.

I think we will have at least one loss, but I think USC/OU will too. We do this every year and assume team "x" will go undefeated in week 3. Then they finish will 1, 2,3 or more losses.
I would be surprised if we have 2 undefeated BCS teams. I would be even more surprised if OU and USC both go undefeated.

I think it is a shame USC is automatically in. Seriously. That is a weak arse schedule.
Some team that had to play four of five highly ranked teams is going to get screwed. That isn't right.

or OK, because we've been there, done that?
That's an interesting take on it, and one I've thought about, too. Ever since 2003, these three teams have sort of been part of a NC game triangle. From that year forward, we've seen OU-LSU and OU-USC, but not LSU-USC. To make matters worse for OU, they've lost to both of us when they've played us for the NC. If these were the three teams in contention, there might be a desire among poll voters to complete the triangle and finally pit LSU against USC.
Of course, OU's recent failures in BCS bowls and the SEC's recent success in the NCG will also play roles in the decision making process. Under your scenario, I do think it would wind up as an LSU-USC national title game.

I take it you haven't looked at LSU's?
The computers are going to love OU's OOC schedule, especially if Cinci does good in the wide open BigLeast. TCU is a solid team which will get loads of wins, and Washington is still a BCS opponent that should win a few in the soft PAC. Add into this Mizzou, Texas, Texas Tech, Kansas...its going to be pretty favorable to them. I think they play 9 teams that were in bowl games last year - LSU plays like 5 or 6.

i think the only way that USC would be left out is if tOSU loses 2 more games, then it makes their schedule look really weak, but even then the media darling that USC is will probably not be left out. also like somebody said before, the chances that an SEC team goes undefeated is VERY unlikely... for at least the next 5 years.

I vehemently disagree. We don't need to blow out anyone of those because they are already recognized as great teams and are ranked accordingly. If we beat them by one, I promise you the voters will show us some love.

No doubt LSU vs USC in that senerio. People want to see that matchup bad and some of those people have the ability to vote OU down just to get LSU in there.

I think OU ends up on the short end. OU has had trouble in big games, and the last time they played both of us they lost. The media would want the LSU vs USC match-up.
I can't imagine an undefeated OU getting the nod over an undefeated SEC team -- not with what the SEC champion would have to go through. My only pause for concern there is if OU and Mizzou are both undefeated when they play the B-12 CG, there might be a lot of ground swell of support for that winner to go to the BCSCG. But short of that -- no way. The coaches poll is a third. The Harris is a third, and is far more objective. What would bump an undefeated SEC champion over OU or Mizzou would be the computers. There's no more AP, no more NY Times, no more nothin other than coaches, Harris, and computers.

Right now I would say that at best LSU and OU would finish about tied in the computers. But OU has a very good shot of finishing higher than LSU if they have the same record.
SEC is statistically a little better than the Big12, but OU plays a much harder OOC schedule.

If we beat UF, UGA, Bama, and win SECCG then we will go to the NC Game. There is NO WAY USC's or OU's strength of Schedule could compare to that.
We could potentially play 5 teams that were ranked in the top 10 at the time the game was played (AU, UF, UGA, BAMA, SECCG).

1) OU's most definitely would.
2) The human voters control 2/3 of the BCS
