Do they practice free throws and layups? Because from a not-very-basketball-enthusiast it seemed like from the pedestrian eye that our team would get ridiculous rebounds but was unable to sink shots while USCe didn’t miss a shot.

I don’t know how you practice basketball, but I sure hope they practice actually shooting the ball into the net thing. That’s why we lost I think.

Again I don’t know Jack shite about this sport and have zero to light medium interest, but my wife enjoys it; and, she endures me during football season so I watched it with her. Sorry they lost but damn don’t fire the coach or the players, just practice more.

I lost count of how many lay ups and point blank shots they missed. It is certainly frustrating to watch.

What is their team's FG% and 3pt% so we can compare?

Both teams made 28 field goal. LSU shot 40% and SC shot 42%. LSU had a 46-37 edge in rebounding and won the offensive rebounding battle 18-11. Both teams played a very clean game, each with only 9 turnovers. LSU has made 73% of its free throws , 76% in SEC play and tonight they inexplicably shot 60%.

Instead of being apologetic for watching a great game between two outstanding women's teams in an incredible environment maybe you should spend more time learning to read a box score so you don't jump to conclusions.

Missed layups are 6 th grade level percentage wise. It’s the biggest detriment to the sport. Get past that and enjoy the skill sets of some of these ladies.

Difference in the game was 3 point shots, missed lay ups and free throws, that simple. All statistically less than a normal lsu wbb performance looking at stats from this season. Is South Carolina in their head a little bit, quite possibly. Is the team still in a good position for post regular season play. Certainly.

There’s a touch of sarcasm in most everything I post. Most of it is lighthearted and in jest. If you looked at life with a more “frick it” attitude you’d realize that in the end none of this shite really matters. I was trying to be funny, but it gets lost in people. Hence why I’m not a comedian. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Very high. Those boys don’t risk losing Pokémon cards because of a poor performance.

Has Mulkey considered taking away Pokémon cards?

Understand the difference?

At the college level, working on your shooting is something that you should be doing on your own, in addition to organized practices. Hell I worked worked on my shooting alone in junior high school. Nothing replaces reps. A self respecting college basketball player should probably shoot 1-200 freethrows a day, without being told to do it.

When I was in High School (back in the day), the basketball team would have to hit X number of free throws in a row before the team could leave practice. In addition, the hoop was reduced in size by something they placed on it. Those teams had the longest winning streak in Florida High School history. The tallest player starting was 6'2" (they were called the Marvelous Midgets). They played smart basketball, low turnovers, hit free throws, and great defense.
