rushing the field after wins is something lesser programs do.

But this just isn't true. If LSU beats Alabama and the students storm the field, it will have literally no adverse on the program at all. Not one. You'll have a few neck beards on the SECrant calling it pathetic, tell me why that matters. The perception of the program will be measured by the fact that LSU just beat the number one team in the country, not by the fact the students rushed the field.

It's been a while...

I wouldn't rush the field if we somehow pulled it off against Bama, but I wouldn't give a shite if others did. I'd be too happy to care.

I don't care. Football should be fun, if the students rush, then hell yeah they'll have an awesome memory. I was on the field after we beat Ole Miss. It was great.

What is the acceptable level of celebration that says I'm happy but that I've been there before? Please tell me so I don't make LSU look inferior.

We agree to disagree and I rushed the field in 1997 after the Florida win. So I absolutely understand the concept. We disagree on when it should naturally occur.

Only if they announce who's the LSU head coach for 2017.

Is beating the number one team in the country not acceptable? I know it's Bama, I know it would look to some people as an inferior act, but who cares man. None of that matters. After we stormed the field against Ole Miss and got so much hate for it, I couldn't have cared less. I would do it the exact same way every time because nothing anyone says about the program means a thing when you're winning games against top five teams.

While I agree, I'm not going to get all pissy if and when they do rush the field. We will be a big underdog and it's been 6 years since we've beaten them at home. Enjoy it how you want. Talking heads won't focus on that when the No.18-19 team beats what is widely considered as one of Saban's better No.1 teams.

Then you will one day appreciate what I came to approeciate ...it's really nice never having to rush the field . It's been an awesome decade and a half of not rushing the field.

If some fans need to experience that to gain some perspective then maybe that's what it takes, but I have truly enjoyed not ever even entertaining the idea since 1997.

Guess maybe the fans need or want to hit the reset button on all that...geaux for it.

We were going to rush the field in 2014 against Bama but we know how that ended. Chances are we'll probably rush the field if we win but I'm not making any promises that we're going to win in the first place. But It's going to be interesting now that they've added that fence around the field by us.

I've already soaked four couches with gasoline. I'll have them on Craigslist in time for kickoff.

It would look pretty stupid in my opinion to rush the field. We claim to be a national power and then act like we won a f***ing championship if we win a big game. If we win and I hope like hell we do, cheer, raise hell in the stands but stay off the field. Don't give the gumps satisfaction that we finally beat them

Folks should sing the alma mater with the team loud as f**k.

Though, yes. The field would be rushed.
