Didn't we just do that 5 years ago?
I'm only 6 feet (mostly torso) and my knees are jammed so they didn't do it right! They are not selling out anyway so they should try to make it more comfortable with fewer seats if necessary.

I would agree with the posters who suggest that we are making progress. Alleva needs to raise the bar for next season. If TJ does not meet it, cut him loose. I am not sure what the hell has happened to recruiting, but it is not there consistently in men's BB. That said, I actually like this guy, but perhaps the Stanford environment was more his thing than the SEC is. Of course, the SEC is not what it once was in BB. We are back to passing time between football seasons.

and because we are a young team right now
Ya'll have used this excuse for TJ now for a few years. How long will we be young and secondly more importantly:
Most college basketball teams are young nowadays, it is the nature of the beast you don't see those teams being mediocre year in and year out.
Come on, you talk about us using our emotions wanting him fired which we are not doing. We are using logic and it says that TJ is not the coach for LSU!
Not at 1.5 million dollars a year anyway!

get rid of him. can't recruit and coaching is questionable

Mediocre-to-good coach. Poor-to-terrible recruiter. I don't see any upside to retaining him unless there's really no one else available on the market right now that would be a substantial upgrade.

Yea that's not a knee-jerk reaction or anything. I guess we should fire Mainieri too because they lost to App. State today right? Hell get rid of Les too, he lost their last game.

Not to go overboard here, but this game might be the one that does him in.
While we might be ahead of the (very low) expectations for this team, the past couple weeks gave people some hope that things have turned the corner. Looked like the Tigers finally were becoming respectable again.
That made this game, and the remaining games, meaningful. We had a legit shot at finishing out on a good streak, and winning 20 games for the season. People were beginning to pay attention.
Slightest hint of a spotlight, and we get utterly crushed by a team we "should" have beaten. In lots of ways, that's more crushing than having another losing season.

The Tennessee game will be very interesting. If they beat us what does that say about our program? It looks like they will beat South Carolina tonight.

No thank you. I have seen enough. He can take a friend with him.

It looks like after the first season when he won with the team he inherited, a large part of the LSU fan base has never really been sold on TJ. I would hope that either he is gone after this season or gets a strong ultimatum that substantial improvement must take place for next season's team for him to stay.

Yeah. There's no way we win three more games this year to get to 20 wins. That's impossible.

We all knew that after his first season, he had a rebuilding job to do. But I have watched him let one guard shoot us totally out of games and never utilize the strength of this team. His guards are to small and they don't know how to run any kind of recognizable offense. Street ball is being kind describing this team. Their is some talent. Just not coached.

the main reason Trent needs to go has nothing to do with on the court
He needs to go cause he runs too clean a program, we won't win big until we get dirty again
