You will lose your high school coaching job for doing stuff like that much less an NCAA coaching job
Yeah, just like Bellichek lost his job, huh? And that was in the NFL

This is the type of stuff that happens in nfl for taping a practice
Coach was not at all aware, declined to view the tape when he became aware, still fined $50,000
The offender banned from the NFL

if i recall, it wasn't that LSU was filming OU practices, or spying on them. It was a missing playbook that they had left in the dome after practice. The Tigers practice followed theirs, and the playbook was not found when the OU coaches realized they left it. No one ever said LSU coaches picked up the playbook, but Stoops kind of insinuated LSU picked it up.

I doubt Saban spied on the 2008 Utah team before the 2009 Sugar Bowl.

I remember that, but Stoops didn't complain until AFTER we beat his team. He brought up the fact that the Tigers had entered the Superdome before his team had finished their practice session on the first day the teams were allowed in the Dome. I do not know how to find the news story, but I remember watching Coach Saban being asked about Stoops' accusations on channel 9.
If I remember correctly, what actually happened was that Oklahoma had the early session for a prescribed amount of time, and then LSU's session was after that. The scheduling was such that LSU was not to even arrive at the Dome until Oklahoma had left the building.
I remember that Coach Saban was very angry that Stoops and his team were still down on the field practicing well beyond the time they were allowed, forcing our team to sit around and wait. After speaking to Sugar Bowl officials, Coach Saban waited an extra thirty minutes and then he told the Tigers they were going in to practice. I do not blame him for getting angry at the arrogance and poor sportsmanship Bob Stoops displayed that day.
Stoops really had no reason to complain about that incident, because it was HE who failed to adhere to the practice schedule and procedures that were set up by the Sugar Bowl officials. Stoops' team lost, and he was looking for a reason as to how that could have possibly happened because it couldn't really be that they were beaten by a better team in the championship game, could it? Of course the Tigers and Nick Saban had to have cheated in order to win, right?
I do not believe Coach Saban cheated then, and I do not believe he would cheat now.
Geaux Tigers!!!!

Obviously, if LSU wanted to we could watch/ film Bama's practice and at the same time prevent Bama from watching or filing our practice.
This is what happened in 2003, and Miles should do it this time, not to pick up signals but because it would drive Saban nuts if someone used his own cheats against him.
Just like his crying about someone flipping his recruits, he really hates it when someone flips the script on him.

What is the possibility of somehow using satelites to spy on outdoor practices?
Not a chance. Most NSA officials are Bama grads, and they have a secret office right next to SEC HQs in Bham.

It would take a huge chunk of the athletic budget and not provide more than several minutes of stills. Money would be better spent building a new stadium.
