This. I'd like for him to return just to see if CJJ needs to work on better hiring of pitching coaches or if it's the turnover causing our pitching woes.
It’s overall talent.
We have had to get stop gaps every year due to weak recruiting and injuries.
2019- Jacob Hasty and Farmer Abendroth
2020- Ty Floyd, Blake money, Javen Coleman, Garrett Edwards, will Hellmers
2021 - Grant Taylor, Grant Fontenot, Kaleb appleby, Sam Dutton
Ty Floyd was good for us, Grant barely ever pitched. A few were gone before Jay got here.
With what he got we got a ton out of some of those guys. Ty Floyd was a first rounder.
But he is the only starter in that whole lot (Grant would have started if he wasn’t hurt last year)
When Jay got here he hammered pitching
2022- Shores, Noot, Herring, Moffett,
2023- Johnson, anderson, I though jake brown

Hell call your shot! Who’s staying?
I responded to the notion that continuity is good. No clue who is going, just saying the pitchers don’t care for Yeskie at all! He will not be a reason for this kids to stay!
The longer the season went on the more in your face they became about what they thought about his pitch calling. If it’s normal for the pitchers to act that way then so be it! I guess they really do respect him!

I'm not the one claiming nobody likes Yeskie and we're going to see a mass exodus

So you really dont know anything at all and are just making blind assumptions like Herring will take anything in the draft to not be under Yeskie again.
BTW - we are #18 in team ERA in the country this year. Seems like Yeskie did have a pretty positive impact overall.

I said we will lose more than we should. I know just as much as you but I’m not blind to the boldness of these pitchers towards the end of the season. That really doesnt scream respect to me. That either means there is an issue or we had a bullpen of entitled, spoiled brats! You choose!

At this point I hope so
We need some continuity. 4 pitching coaches in 4 years isn’t good no matter how you try to spin it

So again, you have zero actual information on anyone leaving
Because Moffett is leaving, a guy with limited innings this year and couldnt consistently throw strikes means we're suddenly losing Herring to the draft and a number of other actual important guys because nobody "likes" Yeskie

So you actually have no clue and are just throwing shite out there like every offseason. Got it.

Hopefully one day I can be as knowledgeable as the rest of this board. Teach me your ways!
You’re right! Everything is great……….they love Yeskie. He’s a great dude and really connects with his players. It’s LSU so everything is grand and everyone wants to play for Yeskie! He’s the man!
Sorry if the obvious issue pissed you off!

There is an obvious issue! You can pretend it doesn’t exist if you would like! What I am doing is no different than what you are doing except it’s the other side of the coin. I never said we were losing everyone. What I said is we will lose more than we should because they aren’t excited about working with Yeskie. Spin it however you like!

I asked the question “how’s Aidan’s relationship with yeske, and that’s not the issue. He’s not weighing options because of yeske.

What boldness? All I saw was herring yelling about fastballs. In the middle of a game he wanted to throw something different. Ok help on what boldness you speak of?

How about you call your shot and tell us who's leaving?

Still looking for the part where I say everyone is leaving. I definitely said he won’t be a reason to stay and we will lose more than we should.

Where's the obvious issue that only you and no one else is seeing exactly?

Similar situation last year where the pitching was slow to start outside of your Friday night guy and now we had the bats go dead.
It’s also extremely difficult for a year 1 pitching coach to get the pitch sequencing for 12 different arms tuned at season’s start.
Herring was bitching about sequencing as late as last Sunday.

Still looking for the part where I said everyone is leaving. Not wanting to work with him is very different from refusing to work with him. Not one kid is going in those exit meetings giving Jay an ultimatum.
