Some of our fans are fricking stupid. I'm damn proud of the students doing a "we want Harris" chant. What else are they supposed to do, sit there and applaud as Les, via Jennings, steers the team into the proverbial iceberg? We already lost one game bc of Les' stubbornness and unfathomable affinity for Jennings. Recruits are going to come to lsu bc they see that magical "most players in the nfl" stat. It's easy for everyone to be on their high horse bc Jennings sucked so bad that even Les couldn't keep in the game anymore and so Harris got his chance and looked phenomenal.
Some fans booing during a random espnu isn't as embarrassing as our miss st performance pre-Harris was and it sure as hell isn't as embarrassing as the 6-6 season we were headed for. Vandy probably doesn't boo, our entire football program should strive to emulate them probably

But think about this. If you're a highly rated recruit who was invited to come see the Tigers beat up on an overmatched opponent, and you hear the starting QB being booed off the field, would you want to play here? Look at it from a kids perspective. Would you ever want to play in what is known as the best environment in college football, only to hear disgust from your fan base for a couple plays that don't go as planned?
i agree that we shouldn't boo college athletes, but jordan jefferson's little brother committed to LSU
let's let that sink in, in light of your argument

Let's give every player on each team a post game trophy too. What is wrong with you pussies?

So... Basically you're saying that the booing forced Les' hand? You really think something was accomplished by a bunch of dolts in the stands standing up and making a noise? Sheesh.

would you rather an organized boycott to either destroy LSU Financially or, to a lesser extent, make us a mockery with no fans attending the games?
how exactly do you believe fans should be allowed to show their displeasure in bad coaching? or should fans just sit back and take it?

Proud of your chant? Good for you. If you feel like you made a difference in who plays QB, more power to you. From my perspective, it is pointless.

Message boards, call-in shows, Facebook pages, twitter, letters to the editor, whatever. There are many, many more effective outlets and less-tacky ways to voice displeasure.
Booing is way too ambiguous and a player isn't going to think "it's cool, they're booing the coaching decisions, not me. I can tell by their tone". Booing your own team brings about wayyyy more negatives than positives (it brings nothing positive).

I wasn't even at the game so I was neither booing nor chanting. And no I don't think Les changed his thinking one iota bc of the crowd, if anything he dug in more bc he's a stubborn arse mofo.
But they still shouldn't just sit there take it. And the chanting is better than booing bc hopefully it makes Jennings realize we don't hate him as a person, player, or tiger we just hate that he plays over Harris. If Harris got hurt and Jennings had to come in and he still sucked, I don't think you'd hear any boos or chants
ETA: Les isn't going to listen to radio shows or read message boards.

I don't know. I guess some of us think 18-20 yr. old kids don't need their own fans booing them in their own stadium if they struggle sometimes.
Crazy us thinking supporting young guys with very little experience would be better than calling them out with boos.

THE INSANITY of thinking that asking an a-hole not to be an a-hole will actually work... It's like putting up a sign, "No Gun Zone" will stop a criminal... "Oh crap... this is a no Gun Zone, Joe, we can't commit our crimes with our guns, leave them in the car while we rob this 7-11" Even more insane, asking fans not to be fanatical... The frustration of being a LSU fan right now is the same we saw back in the 60's and 70's with Cholly Mac and there was booing then too. But then and now beat the Archer/Hallman/Nardo years... I would never boo to show my frustration of my team... But I also don't need to pass a law to get others to behave the way I do.

No shite. I guess booing a 19 year old makes Tom feel like a real man.

What about next year, when we start openly paying them.
Posted on 9/28/14 at 6:05 pm to LSUtigerfreak1
Booing isn't fair to Jennings, but Jennings playing isn't fair to Harris after the chest he showed against Moo St. So what to do?

I think it all depends on your perspective.
I was pissed at Miles for keeping AJ out there. And I think its common sense that the majority were as well. So when AJ trots back out there after a fumble and two ints, i doubt any more than a small minority were booing AJ.
If you want to spin it as "LSU fans booing players" then I think you just have an agenda. It wouldnt make sense to boo AJ. I dont think anyone at LSU has a problem with him. He didnt kick a dude in the head at a bar or anything like that.
