I just like the staff's willingness to go ahead and get Jackson on the field in a capacity where he can make a difference. With Jefferson's severe issues the last two games, safety seems like a great spot to put him for now.

im in no way saying donte is ready for a big role at db. just the possibility of more time solely in a mathieu type role as a blitzer.

He almost looked like Ali Highsmith against OSU for a moment.

That play where OSU's QB thought he had time to throw, and Highsmith launched himself like a missile? That was an awesome play. Good comparison, too.

With Bama's O Line issues, Donte creeping toward the line, especially right before the snap, is going to cause stress in keeping up with assignments.

I was impressed with his punt fielding last night. Very sure. No bobbles. Nice return negated by block in the back. Think white resumes that role ?

I actually thought he'd have it when he first got here so yes I hope he does keep it. I don't think White returns to that position unless Jackson messes up.

Still needs to fill out some. Blitzing Qb and covering speedy wideouts from slot and punt returns is what his role should be this year. I worry a little bit about him getting hurt if he gets leveled by a ST's LB or S but he just needs to fair catch if traffic close don't take chances unless he can get goin avoiding hits if possible.

Some small guys can take hits surprisingly well. I saw him deliver a few nasty hits in high school too.

Voorhies will probably start LB with Alexander and Riley.

I believe at least 1 true freshman will be starting at LSU next year.

I'll say it. I had honey badger flash backs.

I can see it. Kid is lightning quick and he is improving very fast with each passing game. I hope he continues to get more and more play time because even if he gets behind a receiver, his recovery speed can make up for it. Kid is a natural baller.
