51 in the half with one 3pt attempt
Pretty clear that the game plan is to abuse the paint

Koval has been doing a decent enough job but face it, some of the usual suspects had been crowing that with Koval and Joyner we were getting Wilt Chamberlain and Karl Malone. The truth is neither were rated that highly in the portal.
Against the first team we’ve played with a pulse, we are seeing the effects of not having a superstar power forward to follow Reese and Morrow. Shitty job of portal recruiting to lose Serah Williams to UConn.
My concern is that against a non-cupcake, we are having to return to a short rotation. The season is still young, but I don’t see compelling evidence that this team will shatter their Elite Eight ceiling and get over the hump to the Final Four. It is ominous thinking about Koval and Joyner facing the bigs of UConn and UCLA.
It’s going to be challenging to win those last two games and grab another national championship—which of course is the expectation for this program.

Youre wrong. Duke will be one of the best defenses we face all year. This is our first test. Koval is very athletic and big. We are in good shape.

She is big, but slow on rebounds and mostly out of position on defense

She is pretty neutralized against anyone with length
She has gotten more settled in than she was in the first quarter and a half though

Just focus on her and watch her defense and rebounding

Actually the best thing I’ve noticed about her game has been her awareness in the paint. Getting the extra pass in under the basket

LSU is soft as hell on defense. They are getting beat down the court almost every damn time.

So what is the story on ZaKiyah Johnson? Hurt?

When we buckled down on defense is when we pulled away
Need to get back to that

There have only been fleeting camera shots but I don’t see ZJ on the bench.

Every jump shot we miss, they score easily

Texas has a very strong D. So does Carolina. Both are better than Duke's, IMO. But Duke is very well coached and plays strong D.

In our defense, this is really our first test and it’s on the road
