I don't feel good about it. 4 game in you still can't say "oh THIS is what they're trying to do on offense"...it is almost like we're trying to work in 5 or 6 different things that just aren't going to work. Dumb it down and simplify things, WORK on those few things, and go with that. Consistency > Creativity

Beat down? Probably not
Beat? I'm leaning to yes

UGA's entire offensive identity is Green first, everything else second. If Peterson can slow him down, I think they will start to resemble us a little bit. They have a better O-Line, but aren't an amazing running team. UGA has been pretty inconsistent on offense so far this year, as well.

UGA's pass defense is VERY susceptible. we just have to give JJ enough protection to hurt them and get them to back off the middle early. I think the big plays he hit against MSU will give them pause when reviewing the film. If he hits something big early, they will have to account for it and maybe that will give us some room to run. Our coaches just have to have enough balls to pass to set up the run early in the game.

Do you think LSU is going to get beat down by UGA?

Beatdown? Not likely based on what both teams have done on the field. This might be the most boring game of the entire college football season.

Would I be surprised if a beatdown did happen? Not at all.

LSU will win in an ugly game. We haven't established the running game all year, so don't expect us to do it against Georgia. However, as I said last week, Jefferson IS improving. Crowton is giving him more chances to throw down the field and Jefferson is making more of these passes. LSU will win with a short pass game, whether screens or slants, in order to make up for our lack of a run game. Whether Jefferson can make these tight passes while facing heavy pressure is the true factor on whether LSU will come out of Athens with a win or a loss. I have confidence in Jefferson, and believe he will get us the win.

LSU will beat GA 31-24. Jefferson throws for 2, KW runs for 1, defense accounts for 1 and a field goal.

They will not beat us down but if we make stupid mistakes like delay of game penalties there chances increase. Must use RS and TH in the wildcat.

So at this point the opponent also cannot say this is what they are trying to do? Could it be that they have been preparing for upcomiong games in the previous games. Sort of like preseason. Against some teams with great pass rushing d-lines, quick short passes may be required. Check. Getting Shepard acclimated to college ball without showing your hand. Check. Getting JJ comfortable in his position. Check. Determine what the o-line can and can't do. Check. Experiment with a lot of philosophies to determine what is this team's strength. Check.

Well the experiment is over. You will see the real LSU saturday. I predict:

Shepard gets 8 - 10 touches incluing a pass or 2 and the real widcat with TH and KW.

JJ airs it out long and short (30+ passes). The pass used to set up the run. LSU's wide receiver strength will be in full force and effect. Hello RR!

Crowton unleases the Wizard playbook that the team has worked on but not shown to this point. Think OSU in 2007 BCS. Confusion on the defense reigns.

The defense plays solid and wins the turnover battle. Loston gets some plays at safety.

I work in Athens Ga and here they are just as disappointed as about their dogs as we are of our tigers.

They have an average running game and a good but not great QB who folds if you put enough pressure.

Secondary also questionable.

Come on now, you edited your post to say "17 points or more AFTER people already signed up for an LSU loss. I don't think LSU loses by more than 17, but I do think they lose.

We will escape with the win. 5-0 is the most important thing.

Of course LSU has the talent to win, but utilizing it will be another story. Hate to say it, but put me down for a 14 pt loss to UGA. UGA isnt all that great, but they will put up a bunch of points I think.

But those people on the list never signed up for a 17 point or more victory. A beat down can be by 14 points. I'd say UGA gave us a beat down last year, but only won by 14. Sometimes the game is not as close as the score.

It's just innacurate on your part to ask people to sign up if LSU will get "beat down" and later add a certain margin of victory. If LSU loses by 16 points, you'll then come back and try to throw it in people's faces when they never even signed up for 17 or more points in the first place.
