People at LSU say the student section sucks for a few reasons:
A) The student section was always THE BEST when they went there
B) People get pissed at every little thing someone does. I for one don't participate in cursing out other players or anything, but who cares in some drunk people do it. Everyone has these bleeding hearts now...get over it!
C) If a student shows any kind of negative attitude it's like blasphemy. Students pay money to go to the school and to go to the games...they have more right than anyone to leave early or get mad.
With that said, I have NEVER left a game early in my 5 years as a student. However, when we're getting butt raped at the end of the 3rd quarter I'm not gonna keep standing and yelling. I'm a football fan and love LSU...but when the players aren't giving it their all why should I give it my all? I heard no one boo Lee so that's made up. MAYBE two or three guys booed but not the whole section.
I hate when people come on the Rant trying to throw fuel on the fire about the student section. The section is what it is and it's not changing. There are tons of rules and policies that they didn't use to have so it takes thunder away from the students. Can I bitch at the upper decks for getting to the game 8 minutes into the middle of the 1st quarter? Or how about half the stadium filing out at 45-24...it's not just the student section it's the whole stadium so get on everybody.

Stayed the whole game in the Student section and did not hear a single boo. I think even some of the dumb students understand that there isn't a better option than Lee right now.

I too was in the student section and didn't hear a single boo for any thing LSU did. I actually was proud of the student section when they started chanting "LSU" to pump the team back up right after the first pick-6

shite happens every year, no matter our record or who is playing quarterback. Get over it.
I was in the student section when they booed Flynn, Jamarcus, Randle, and Mauck before that.

I always find it funny that when people start complaining, it's always blamed on the "Greeks".
The Greeks raise more money and do more community service than the average student at LSU. They put on the homecoming parades (of which I hear they can't do this year) and basically do many of the things the university gets credit for.
Stop blaming everything on them and start blaming the entire student population (and no I was not a greek)

What was up with the damn beach ball war that broke out in the student section when Georgia was making a critical drive? The whole damn stadium quieted down and Georgia scored a few plays later.
Yeah, it's funny and all that, but the beach ball war reinforced my perception that this year's crowd that started unhitching the stadium in the third quarter (not just the student section) is not into the game as much as in years past.
