don't need a link. robert lane wasn't drafted.
he wasn't thought of as possibly an early round pick in baseball at that time before signing day? LOL

do you even know what you stand for? you flip flop so much. where you at flip flop?
when have i ever flip flopped? I've been firm on my Les Miles is terrible and should not be the LSU coach stance since before he was hired. Please explain.

so basically LSU signs under 25 players per year. what is so wrong with that? If the player was asked to grey shirt, which means he would have to pay for fall semester only and accepts it then this thread never would have been started.

oh no, your consistant in bashing miles. it's what you bash him for is where you are inconsistant. your on one side of the issue one day because it's a against les miles. Then when he is on the same side of the issue you were against him on, you flip to the other side to bash him again.
the bashing is consistent. you got that one down. you just don't know what side of any issue you're on.

obviously m.l.b. didn't think it. hey, what do they know, though.

and clearly, you and all the other rantards don't choose your view on a topic based on how bad it will make Les Miles look

so Saban and Robert Lane knew at the time that he wouldn't be drafted highly?

I assume you're talking about to 25. If that's the case..Saban, Chizik, Stoops, Shannon, and many more signed over 25
I am not a Miles basher... I dont have a problem with asking a kid to grey shirt unless its the day before reporting.. Thats the prob I have no matter which player..
FWIW.. Porter was rated higher than 8 other players according to Rivals

i dont know why people are so upset? He hasnt even made a decision yet. He will pay instate tuition for one of if not the cheapest state school in the country. And only have to do it for one semester. Not too many people are this lucky.

I love how you twist my response to your questions into something that is entirely not what I said. There is a difference between being a qualifying "risk" and having things tripped up by the clearing house.
One is at the fault of the kid for half-assing it in high school and the other is with stupid shite where the Clearing House has an issue with a class or coursework (Ego & Wing).
If the kid hasn't put in the effort for 3 years its different than someone that did. It's a bad situation to be in and obvious the coaches didn't have a contingency plan with 2 kids willing to greyshirt ahead of time. That is the main beef.
Again, Miles has done anything including this to deserve to be fired or have him being called to be fired. Some are simply concerned with the current direction and are vocal about it.

What purpose does it serve for you to flame for 20 pages and say so many personal attacks about the head coach of a team you are supposedly a fan of. Calling miles a retard and all the other things is not funny and downright sickening. I'm surprised you haven't been banned yet. Every post is an attack.

Finding two 18 year olds willing to grayshirt is probably easier said than done.
The coaching staff pursues and persuades a kid to commit to LSU (or whatever school). They tell him how much they need him and how well he'll fit into the program. The kid signs his LOI, expecting a full ride to a D-I school, STARTING THIS FALL. And then, at some point later in the Spring or Summer, the coaching staff askes him to grayshirt.
Now honestly, how receptive would you be to this offer? Would you feel a little bit slighted? Would you be pissed that you committed early and qualified, only to find out that there are 25 guys in the incoming class that the coaching staff values more than you? I'm pretty sure I would be pissed, especially if it happened on August 1st.
I hope EP comes to LSU, but if he told us to kiss his arse, I wouldn't blame him.

ELLIOT PORTER himself said the first he heard of it was Monday, August 1st. So apparently you are calling a kid a liar to defend a 50 year old retard. NICE
I know you're just trollin, but this is too fun.
What member name does Porter use here?

Most 19 year old frat douches like yourself I'm sure get deeply sickened when a 50 year old millionare coach is insulted.

So if Elliot Porter specifically answers when the possibility was first mentioned nobody on this site is allowed to absorb this information because it doesn't paint Les Miles in a good light? You are such a fricking idiot.

White Roach, I am with you on this. I am just saying that it isn't just about Porter specifically. The whole situation was handled poorly and the coaches obviously didn't do their job at being "the Moral better of their competititon" that many flaunt Miles for here. That said, at LEAST if the kids are given the option back then, they have time to pick another school, get settled on their time, and not feel rushed to make a decision like Porter is.
That is the big issue here. This is a mistake by the staff, and honestly I don't consider Miles a good CEO, which is what people say he's paid to be, but mistakes happen and will have to be dealt with.
It may hurt Miles/LSU in the end, and I personally wouldn't trust Miles if he came recruiting my son after this and some of the other more recent things, but that's me. I love LSU, but doesn't mean I'd send my kid to LSU if I didn't feel confident in the coach's word.
