I remember when ESPN was a quality network. That now seems so long ago.
If I have to watch them it's always with the mute button activated.
Is that douche David Pollack still an employee?

You don't watch a lot of college football do you?

I did not hear about the breakdown of the LSU defeat of the Barners either handing them loss #1 in 2013.

Nope. I used to watch 5-6 games each week but now only watch the Tigers and Saints. I got sick of how ESPN & CBS have destroyed the pageantry and I've found better things to do with my time.
All the shuffling of hats on the table by recruits, airing high school games, influencing polls, etc. ruined it for me. I just enjoyed football. All this other frivolous crap ain't for me.

WOW...it is not as bad a you think.
During the game..I saw the picture of Matt Flynn kissing the crystal ball, a picture of Miles from when LSU won in 2007, and the 2003 picture with Saban.
Prior to the game, ESPN recapped Auburn's season INCLUDING the LSU game.
FYI..I forget if it is Comcast or Direct TV, but they are playing a commercial here in Houston and it shows a LSU back running for a TD.
Also FYI..was watching a movie on Netflix with my kids called "Christmas Angel" and the mom is a big LSU fan and wears LSU gear and talks about watching the LSU game vs Auburn.

quote:. I think you mean 2011, and all I can do is laugh. We dominated CFB coverage all damn year, I was sick of hearing about us. Some have a real insecurity
Even the 2012 season they didn't show love when we were the best team in the country winning a schedule unlike any before. I feel like F ESPN too, but without them, recruits and the national audience would never see at all. We have to win.

I noticed this. All you could see was the purple and gold streamers and a gloved hand raising the crystal

Tigerfoot,
Yes 2011 with the 2o12 title game. Even though we won, the whole season was about how can they get Bama a rematch because they were better.
But, we still lost most big games when they counted recently and our stadium has been a ghost town during broadcasts. We determine how much TV time we get with winning consistently in big games, not losing to a depleted Ole Miss team.
How many times have we won the SEC East since the SEC run began? How many NCG's have we won? How many Bowl games? We got to earn it.

With Fox Sports One in the picture now... the ESPN decline is real.

If we go back to 2007 all you frickers would be LIVID if ESPN mentioned or showed any amount of respect towards UK & Ark for beating us -Some of y'all think LSU deserves a damn segment for beating Auburn.
Auburn deserved their time in the spotlight; however they couldn't pull through

ESPN turns the tide for voters and the college football viewing public IMO. If they want something done to suit their agenda, it's *that* 24/7.
Without ESPN's coverage of Jameis, he doesn't win the Heisman in my opinion. They are uber powerful.

Out of 16 BCSNC, our two were in the bottom five. What does that tell you. Keep kissing SEC arse, boys. It's totally worked out.

They said Oklahoma State shouldn't play LSU for the title unless they could beat Oklahoma by double digits. When OSU destroyed the Sooners, ESPN attempted to discredit OSU to the point you would think they didn't deserve to be ranked.
Who did they constantly have live on their show to state his case? You guessed it...the little midget from AL.
It wouldn't have been as much of an issue if the game was covered by another network but to influence the voters for a game you're going to cover is just wrong.
Many schools and programs know what ESPN, CBS, the SEC HQ, etc. are doing is wrong but they remain silent because they like the money. You would have to be a fool if you don't believe they have an agenda and assist in picking winners & losers.
