I don't know what the typical expectation is for softball but I do think we've not done as well in the most recent past (let's say 3-4 years) as we did early in Beth's tenure? Am I correct on that?
If so, that is not the trend we should want or accept, and I would expect if it is not there should be some accountability. Is that fair?

Obviously St. Amant is a very good program, so this is not a knock on them. But I would be curious how much of their hitting is technique they learned from their high school coaches vs. their travel ball coaches. Also would be curious what kind of pitcher they faced that day you saw them. High school softball has lots of disparities.

Agree 100% these kids are all going to hitting coaches and spend much more time on the travel ball circuit than with their HS team

Pitcher's name is Jayden Heavener. Her stats at Pace High School were stellar. And her batting average is too. Cannot wait to see her as an LSU Tiger!

Especially when you have the St.Amant Head Coach practically begging for a job. Those girls can hit! I went to a game of theirs last year, (daughter had a friend on the team, no perverted assumptions plz) and boy did they hit.

what were her stats in Class A travel ball doing national showcases?? That is more applicable. Who did she play for?
Those are what matters. High School is
College coaches recruit from Travel not HS. I have had to deal with them for years with my players. I am also dealing with many right now following my youngest daughter.

We had arguably the best 1-2 punch pitching duo in the nation a few years back with Hoover and Walljasper, and still couldn't get it done because we couldn't back them up at the plate.
don't get me started on that. we had 3 years with them and went 0-3 as far as nattys.

None. I have no idea expectations for Beth Torina. I mean, I only have a vague concept that she may be the girls’ softball coach, but I’m not even 100% sure about that.
