see you vetted out all of your guest to see if that weekend was ok
Big difference between Thanksgiving, which the exact date is known well in advance, and a football game. Monumental.
Are you really comparing the two?

You keep saying this...when was the last time LSU Football played a non-bowl game on a Saturday outside of the last weekend in August and first weekend in December?

My wife and I met at an LSU game. So yes, it is valid. We will also be skipping Thanksgiving festivities to attend the A&M game.

How is this relevant at all to what you quoted of me?

Congrats. You're free to do that. Everyone has different priorities, which has been my point this entire thread. You don't bitch about what I do, and I won't bitch about what you do. What is hard to grasp about that?

Because you're acting like LSU games aren't always played within the same 13-14 weekend period each year as a justification for scheduling your wedding during football season.

No I'm not. You guys have too many different criteria. Some people say no games period, others say no big games, and others say just no SEC games. Read the whole thread before you come in talking shite please.

Your very first post in this thread in reply to someone who is in a wedding the weekend of the Ole Miss game...

Yall do realize weddings are usually scheduled before the schedule is set, right?

Context gets lost easily on you, huh?

On a serious note- congratulations on your wedding.
But I have to agree with the peanut gallery....Scheduling a Fall/early winter wedding in the outdoors/football-crazy south just isn't a popular decision with those who participate in those activities (which is the majority)...That's not an opinion as much as it is a fact.

That explains why there are thousands of weddings in South LA every year. Many of which with LSU themed groom cakes, or colors, etc. It is nothing more than your opinion.

I hate to be the one to tell you- but it's true. I have nothing to gain from lying to you.
Of course you will have guests- chances are, people care enough and value your friendship enough to be there!
But don't think for a minute that in private, there won't be quite a few of them griping about it. That's all I'm saying.

Good to know you speak for everyone.

Cousin was married last year DURING the LSU/Bama game. No one from my family went.

You're honestly going to argue that people like weddings during football season?
The Catholic Church in Baton Rouge doesn't even allow it

I highly doubt that.
ETA: And it would depend on which cousin for me to make that decision. Very close to some, couldn't care less for others.

Not everyone. That would mean I'm being presumptuous- which I assure you I'm not.
Just the solid majority.

Sure seems like a lot of people do. Not everyone places college football as priority one. Shocker, I know.

Don't waste your time, Golfer. Lunchbox fricked up big time with that post.

Do what now? Don't forget this place is not a good cross section of the actual populace.
