You know he argued for Bama in 2017 over Ohio State because despite being more deserving that Bama was the better team right? You know that he pushed his sons to walk on at Clemson and not at Ohio State to be 3rd generation Buckeyes. Kirk is about as far from being a homer when giving opinions as it gets. When he isn't in analyst mode or doing his job of course he is an OSU fan but he is adult and separates that.

Your first “real test” comes this weekend and I’m not convinced it’s an actual “test” as I think Penn State is overrated as frick but hey, at least it’s your first team to face that actually recruits in the top 50 consecutively.

Actually I did watch that game and came away impressed that the offense especially coming out the first series after they got a quick score and getting points. They didn't let up much and Joe shaking off uncharacteristic ints. The defense got gashed and isn't up to what outsiders expect of an LSU defense.
As for your second point the goal post keeps getting moved for OSU detractors. First it was Nebraska is going to test us defensively then it was MSU then Wisconsin and so forth. Maybe Ohio State is pretty damn good on both sides of the ball. Recruting and NFL scouts agree they are. Good enough to go 15-0? Maybe so but still lots of ball left.
