runner on 1st, 1 out for bama Dugas up

breaking ball strike looking 0-1
fouled off 3B side 0-2
base hit into RF, runners on 1st and 2nd... I thought Schimpf mighta been able to corrall it and turn 2 but it looked like he slipped

Rutledge up runners on 1st and 2nd 1 out for bama

high 1-0
inside 2-0, yes thunderbird it was hard hit but coulda been turned
low 3-0
breaking pitch strike 3-1
high ball 4 walked him bases loaded

Looks like Byrd only throws only 1 pitch. He lives and dies by the curve ball.

strike nice breaking ball 2-2 come on Byrd!
low ball 3-2
struck him out LSU got a lucky call there but I'll take it 2 outs
