You guys take Finebaum WAY too seriously. He is a very very funny guy. Dry, but funny.

The Gumps will tell you they don't listen to Finebaum, but ultimately what he says works its way through the VERY VERY large section of their fanbase that is VERY VERY gullible. After that it somehow gets to the reasonable section of their fanbase as fact. From there, they repeat his BS as fact. Its a vicious cylce!

Try to have a normal conversation with a Bama fan is impossible.

It seems that when discussing football, esp. SEC, normal has nothing to do with the parameters. I find Bama fans no less realistic than any others. It's beyond me why anyone would waste one second of their life listening to, reading or taking seriously the garbage that spews from finebaum's head.

If Steve Spurrier took over the program after Gerry Dinardo LSU would have had just as much success if not more this decade. It is retarded for him to attack Miles. I think Spurrier is at least the second best coach in the conference. I think Spurrier still has the highest conference winning percentage and he has coached at USC the last several years.

A little bit of patience (like two weeks) and Spurrier likely would have replaced Nick Saban at LSU. If Les Miles could go 34-6 and win a national title in his first three years, what do you think a real football coach like Spurrier could have done?

Is there any sadder existence than to live in Birmingham AL with a man in Baton Rouge LA so far into your head that you can't ever quit flailing at him?

That, my friends, is insignificance defined.

probably about the same. I don't know why people think Spurrier would have done so much more? He is considered a better coach because he turned Fla from a decent team to a power house and is perceived as an offensive genius because hi teams threw the ball a lot. Whether Miles could have built a program is irrelevant, he didn't have to at LSU. The 2nd part is great, but not necessary to win.

Now clearly LSU had loads of talent when Saban left. What makes people think that LSU's talent from 2005-2007 was substantially better UF had during their heyday, say from 95-97? Yet despite all that talent and frankly a weaker, that's right I said it, a weaker SEC, where all they had to do was beat UT and some 8-4 scrub in the SEC CG, SOS still only managed to win 1 MNC, why is that if he is such a great coach or so much better than Miles?

Was Spurrier at his peak a better coach than Les Miles? Yes. Is he now? Debatable at best. Because he was or even if he still is a better coach, does not mean he would have won more games, let alone more BCS CG.

the Miles bit is just easy fodder for him to keep his fans fired up...and living in Shoal Creek with a wife that's a doctor ain't a bad way to go through life.

Do you think coaches pay attention to this stuff. We has great ratings as long as he has listners, that includes Tiger fans. There would be a ton of schools who would hire Les today, if available, including the gumps if they needed a coach.

what do expect from that dipshit finescum?... just when you think he has been too quiet, that maybe it indicates a positive change in his intelligence level, i.e., nearing the mark of 0(zero) after being stuck in (-)negative intelligence space for so long, just when you think their may be, just may be, a sliver of hope for him... !!!BOOM!!! the real finescum returns to the fore!!!... I knew it was becoming too quiet, too soon, this summer...
