For a program that once went to 5 straight Final Fours, this might be the shittiest list of "potential" coaches that I have ever seen.

So the coach at Troy almost beat Texas A&M. Woohoo. The coach we currently have actually beat Texas A&M and everyone wants to get rid of her.

The list you gave above looks more like a wish list for Ole Miss than it does LSU. Go do some research and come back with something better.

Who gives a shite? Brings in zero revenue.
There were just as many fans in the PMAC during our final 4 runs with Semoine than there were for men's games. It was sold out numerous times. Of course it won't generate the revenue of men's basketball, but there is a lot of potential there.

In Spring 2022. Tameka Johnson as head coach
I wasn't going to say that because I didn't want to suggest that we hire a head coach from the high school ranks, but I would be on board with that. I could think of worse ideas.

I was in the arena a few weeks ago when she won the state championship. I was not pulling for her because I had a relative on the other team (Mt. Carmel) but I am happy to see that she is having success.

I don't profess to know enough about prospective women's coaches to know who would be the best hire as the next coach, but I know that Nikki isn't getting it done. Appears Scott Woodward isn't going to do anything about it, though. Still waiting for him to do something at LSU besides approve bad contracts.

I am assuming that Woodward will want to go as cheap as possible. And as much as I hate to say it, we’ve fallen several pegs below hiring an expensive big name coach to take us immediately back to the Final Four, even if funding hadn’t taken a big pandemic hit.

Temeka seems to be a good one to take a chance on.

Not true. During those times, the men average almost 10K while the women average a little under 7K. Only game that would come close to selling out was the Tennessee game.

There are numerous reasons for a new coach.

The team's performance is mediocre at best. The results are going down, not up from her first 5 years at LSU.

Very poor fan attendance and excitement. Fan engagement is only a fraction of what it was when she got to LSU.

The style of basketball is a relatively unexciting brand based on a relatively unusual defense. A lack of outside shooting and poor free throw shooting. Stagnant offense is maddening.

Poor recruiting.

It is time for a change, but Woodward and powers at be may not want to pay out the money owed. I wouldn't be surprised if they let her coach one more year. I would hope that they could find a new coach for next season if the candidate they want is open to come to LSU.

Do you realize how bad she was at Auburn when she coached there?

Like I said in my post no established coach is leaving to come to LSU, LSU WBB glory days are over with!! If Rigby had SEC caliber talent the Texas A&M game wouldn’t even been close. Rigby is doing a hell of a job with the talent she can get at Troy. If I’m Auburn I hire her ASAP. Speaking of Ole Miss we barely beat them. Yolett has Ole Miss going in the right direction and I’m pretty sure she will finish ahead of us next year in the SEC.

LSUGrad what’s your list of candidates? Please don’t drop Jeff Walz,Kim Mulkey etc because they would laugh in our AD face.

I don't know much about Rigby, but she has Louisiana roots. She also has a record of significant turnarounds at her prior head coaching stops including her current gig.

As for as her style of play, recruiting, fan engagement, etc., I'm not sure.

As someone who has gone to over 95% of home games since Nikki became coach, it is time for a change. Hopefully, Woodward will make the leap and choose well.
