You picked a good year to go because they're terrible and humbled. Like a prisoner on death row.
I'll never spend a dime again in that town of pompous assholes.

Great trips to Ole Miss in past. Grove is stuck up is my only complaint. Trips to Auburn, Georgia, College Station and Alabama have also been good experiences. Don't plan on going to Gainsville!

Friend of mine used to live in Little Rock, said Arky fans are just as bad as Florida

Your friend told the truth. When we used to play them at War Memorial in Little Rock just when I thought they could not set the bar any higher for low rent hillbilly white trash behavior they would tear it down and up the bar even higher. Imagine the worst white trash Walmart shoppers you’ve ever witnessed and that’s their fanbase in their entire stadium. And for the most part 98% of their women are ugly. At least at Ole Miss you have some serious eye candy to look at while you are there. God help the SEC if the Hogs ever seriously get good. Their stadium would be intolerable to visit for opposing fans.

Been to war mem ark lsu game several times too.

It's so bad even the good ark fans acknowledge how bad that particular crowd is.
So happy they moved it.

That must have been what I saw. I was in section S and from my viewpoint it looked like that whole bottom half of section k was about to fight the olemiss section beside them.

I played in Tiger Band a couple of years. As such, I went to a number of road venues.

Oxford was hands-down the worst. It's the only place (football stadium or otherwise) where I've felt the need to bring backup when walking around. The fans were so hostile that I even saw a drunk sorority girl shove a female flute player on the way out of the stadium.

I would not go back to that place. Horrible and trashy people.

In contrast, the trip to Auburn was the opposite end of the spectrum. Great hosts on the plains.

You must not have been there in 2003. The night before the game it got pretty bad downtown. I have found they are cordial when they know they are in for a loss.

I was sitting in that lower part of K. It was mainly a large group of what appeared to be LSU students and a couple of Ole Miss students going back and forth. At one point when we scored they were throwing their drinks at us but they didn’t actually reach anywhere near us. After the game I saw one of the Ole Miss kids over shaking hands with the LSU boys after all the taunting. I do think the fans were chanting LSU once before they realized an Ole Miss player was down and then they stopped. The Ole Miss students boo’d Donté Jackson when he went down, and also when he got up. Overall I had a really good time and found the fans nicer than I expected.

My only trip to Ole Miss was the game Les told the QB to spike the ball with one second left. Remember? Ole Miss fans were so polite they told me that they lost several games like that!

That was the most hostile road trip ever and we've never had a problem anywhere. We basically got into a brawl before the damn game. Even Saban said that was by far the most hostile road trip he had ever been on. But that's when Eli was there and the game was for the SEC West championship. If Ole Miss was legitimately good every year like they were that year, that is probably how they would be. To be fair, we met a number of nice fans who were very happy to be in that position though too. It was electric inside of that stadium though on both sides for that game.

That 2003 game was their Super Bowl & Eli was going to lead them to the Promised Land. When the game ended by him being sacked by his own OL, LSU fans went nuts & the mocking carried on outside the stadium post game. Son called to say he was watching "old grown men" sitting on the curb crying". Best LSU/O.Miss fight was post game after the Bert Jones/Brad Davis game winning T.D. pass with 4 seconds left. Walking through the Indian Mounds, saw 6-7-8 LSU fans beating the shite out of one Rebel. BRPD walked up, pulled the LSU fans off the Reb & loudly charged the Reb with resisting arrest. When he was cuffed, bloody & all, the look on his face was as they say, priceless.
