For O to reach Jimbo and Miles level he needs to win a conference and national title
News Flash. Jimbo has not reached the same level as Miles. You might want to read this.
Years from now every coaches resume will be compared to those who've faced Saban on a regular basis.

I'll say this... there's a lot of people saying give Jimbo the benefit of the doubt. But if we had FSU's record right now, our fan base would be losing its damn mind no matter who the coach was.

He won an acc title pre jameis

Jimbo began coaching his 3rd ranked team in the country, Fla State, at the start of this season, now they won't even qualify for a bowl game.

I am going to guess, "a worse winning percentage, in a weaker conference."

There is nothing funnier than the complete mongoloids on this board that pretend that O is even on the same level as Jimbo Fisher as a coach
Jimbo was 59-9 in the five seasons leading up to this one

ACC was a dumpster fire for 6 of those 9 years, the reason Fisher is in such trouble now is because his conference isn't as lame, suddenly he has to compete against better teams.

Give Duke Riley credit for this team's turnaround. Even O has. Credit Alleva for getting to the bottom of O's offensive meddling and putting a stop to it. If you think that O only interfered in the Troy game, you don't understand the X's and O's of football. There has been a drastic change in offensive play calling and that has been a big key to our turnaround on the field.

Bookmarked to bring out next year when O has the tigers in the playoffs.
No one really believes O will ever get us to the playoffs.
It’s hard to be so incompetent to go 10-25.
And again the CEO model will not work. It only took a few games and O was already meddling with the offense in theTroy game.
He’s the HC he has the right to “meddle” wherever he wants. The problem is he not good.
I hope we get in playoffs no matter who the HC is but I don’t think O is capable of leading us there.
As for next year, if folks used the youth and inexperience excuse THIS year. We are younger and will have even less NEXT year. With almost no exp at any skilled position on offense.

This post gave me eye aids. If this fanbase truly believes Orgeron > Jimbo, it deserves everything coming to it the next 5 years.

Comparing their 2017 seasons up to now, coach O recovered well from his early stumble and coach Fisher after his team was ranked no3 has shite the bed, screwed the pooch, gone full retard against the Fla State fan base.
If that for some reason chaps your arse, maybe purchase some Vaseline?

The SEC fricking sucks.
O is going to get 5 wins in the SEC against coaches that may be fired this year.
Guess we’ll have to wait until there are a bunch of good teams in the conference again before we can properly judge O then

And now O plays in a easier conference compared to before
Essentially half the coaches in the conference might be fired after this season, thats hoe bad this conference is now.

really? ok MF'er: TROY
How about Mississippi State? That game was disgusting. Looked like the entire team quit during that game.

“ ACC was a dumpster fire “
I don’t know were you guys come up with this stuff. In the last four years, the ACC has played in three national championship games and won two of them. In that same time period, the ACC had almost as many teams ranked in the top 10 as the SEC did.
In the last five years Florida State has won 59 ball games. I don’t care what power five conference you play in, that’s pretty damn good.

And you are clearly the epitome of the mongoloids on this board.
Jimbo is now 61-14 in those games. Roughly winning 80% of his games, which is pretty close to his % overall. However, he may not win another game this year. And clearly, for many of those years he played in a conference that was not very good.
Coach O admitted he wasn't a very good coach at Ole miss. He failed. He admitted he failed. But generally speaking, a lot of good things can come from failure and that one experience shouldn't be held over the man's head forever.
Ole Miss was in the dump. And O didn't right the ship. JF took over a program that was trending down but still pretty decent, and pulled it back up to a top level. 2 Totally different situations.
O took over 2 programs that fired their coach early in the season meaning there was a lot of shite happening. He managed to ignite the team and get both to finish 6-2.
With those teams and his record this year, he is now 18-6 for a winning % of 75%. Again, considering the circumstances he took over, that's actually a really, really good record.
Coach O may or may not be the right choice. That will be determined over the next couple of years.
I get that you are angry and are having a hard time defending "your guy" Jimbo. I'm gonna support coach O until it's time not to. Now is not that time.

Actually, based on his performance last year, and getting the team back on track this year, I do believe Coach O has the ability to get the job done.
Whether he will or not, is another question.
Relative to incompetence, it happens. I'd say going 3-8 is pretty damn incompetent. Can you say Jimbo?????
"Meddling" - Yeah, that's what head coaches do when the offense isn't working. They have meetings and try and work it out. When you are about to start 3 freshman on the OL, your star RB is out, and your QB is struggling, you try and simplify things. It may not have been the right move, but the methodology was sound.
Yes, next year is going to be tough. Very tough. But even in the bad, you will be able to see whether or not the coaching is there.
One thing for sure, Coach better get better fast at recruiting (something he supposed to be good at) or his tenure will end quickly.

And probably follows LSU football enough to know that Coach Eaux was NOT a recruiting coordinator at LSU when even one class was signed.
Ever heard of Frank Wilson? Probably not, but he was the RC up until he took the HC position at UTSA in January 2016.
Great post by the way. Keep it up.
